How do I turn off the "split view" option... or move it somewhere else?

I get you are trying to add features... but this is one I dont need or want... and its in the place of a feature I ACTUALLY use "open link in new tab".

Very frustrating to try to open a new link only to loose HALF the screen I am currently using and NO WAY to move said tab off.

Unbelievably weird placement of this "feature".

I have completely cleared relevant history. I am in the UK, so only use Amazon UK. Yet, even within a day of removing all trace of amazon.com, it shows up again in the list of top sites on a blank tab's address bar suggestions. (.com is not in bookmarks, shortcuts, or recent searches, which are the only other selections)

The only explanation I have for this is that amazon.co.uk is making back-end calls to amazon.com and polluting whatever mechanism is used for this list – even though the browsing history as I can see and manage it does not include any references to amazon.com whatsoever.

Please, either:

• tell me how to get the browsing history as shown in the new tab's suggestions to respect the browsing history as recorded and manageable, or
• tell me how I can have control to blacklist certain sites that contaminate the list despite there being no record of them within my browsing history

The only other detail that may play into this; the first time this appeared out of nowhere I suspect was also the point at which the Suggestions from sponsors magically appeared in settings, and was on by default. Ever since then, getting rid of amazon.com has been a Sisyphean struggle, as though unchecking the sponsors option were being ignored.

I have cleared all logins and ALL browser cache and cookies, checked for updated version (running 155.0.1 for Mac OS) and restarted the browser. But still get a BAD REQUEST error when trying to access someone's Calendly page. I can load the main website of Calendly, but it will not load specific person's calendar.

I tested this in Chrome and in Safari and there are no issues loading someone's Calendly page. Here is an example account. https://calendly.com/rickcoughlin

I have also tried this in Private Mode. Can someone help?

I am on Mac Mojave 10.14.6 using Firefox 115.36 Oesr on esr update channel for many years. Unable to access Billpay due to message saying outdated browser yet Firefox says Firefox is up to date on the drop down box for Firefox. Up until tonight I had the ability to select option of "Continue with outdated browser" but did not have that option today. Should I contact Billpay as well as you?

For the past few days when trying to use Google search on Firefox I get this message:

"Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot. Why did this happen?"

Then it makes me jump through several hoops to do a search on google.

This is a Firefox specific message as I can switch to Safari and there is no roadblock.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Any way to resolve?

Why this is a Firefox issue and not other browsers?

I used your built-in VPN for a long time and it really helped me out because I live in Russia and half the internet is inaccessible without your VPN. I want to inform you that your VPN has stopped working for me. That is, if I turn on the VPN and only then will your built-in VPN work, I ask you to fix it so that the VPN works as well as before. Hello, I am experiencing an annoying layout issue with the New Tab page in Firefox. The spacing between my Top Sites icons is way too large, making the grid look unnaturally stretched out and leaving too much empty space on the screen.Here is the weird behavior I noticed:When I run Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (Safe Mode), the layout looks perfectly fine, tight, and compact — exactly how it used to be.If I use the "Refresh Firefox" feature, the compact layout returns to normal in the regular mode, but only temporarily.As soon as I launch Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode again and then switch back to the normal profile, the layout breaks once more, and the huge gaps between the shortcuts reappear. (the white bar is the safe mode)

The Cache is never cleared after clearing, there are always about 9,3 MB left. According to my settings there should be 0 MB left. (When I check the Task Manager, Firefox ist always opened up to 10 times.) How can I make sure the Cache is completely cleared? I added Screenshots of both. Thnx for helping...

For the past two days I haven't been able to get past the recaptcha on several sites (Facebook, Instagram). I have tried all the workarounds other users have provided and what Google has offerd to no avail. I'm also having a difficult time accessing my hotmail acct from Firefox as well. I don't seem to have this issue with either of these problems if I move to a different browser. Firefox has always been my main (and only) browser, yet more and more often I seem to have issues anymore. What the F is going on? Would appreciate any help I can get. Again, I've tried removing Ad Blockers from these sites and even turned off the 'Enhanced Tracking' thing on the address bar; none of this works.

I have no desire to interact with Google, Bing, or Perplexity, and as a rule I don't want outside parties (such as Firefox/Mozilla) deciding for me which search engines or other service providers I see advertising for. (And yes, seeing that "G" logo somewhere is advertising for Google.) I'm assuming that these companies are paying to be pre-loaded as search providers in Firefox, and I understand that Firefox needs this financial support if it's going to continue providing a browser.

After upgrading, I've always gone into the settings and removed these search providers - I don't want to see them offered as search options, and to be honest, I don't even want to see their names in the settings screens.

Now with Firefox 152, I find that I'm not able to delete these pre-loaded search providers anymore. I can turn off a switch to disable them, but there's no way to totally delete them from the list anymore. There's even a [in the documentation] which explicitly says that the pre-loaded search providers cannot be removed, only hidden.

'WHY can I not delete them?

Is there a technical reason, i.e. would the browser stop working if they were removed? Are some companies paying extra to not be delete-able, and it just happens that every one that's pre-loaded in Firefox 152 decided to pay the extra money? Or did Mozilla just make an arbitrary decision to reduce the level of control that users have over their own browsers?

Why does my office desktop Firefox version update every 2 or 3 time I start my browser? I click on browser and a popup box tells me its updating. The updates are short, 15 to 30 seconds and then the browser opens and runs normally.

now using 153.0.1 from old 140.13.0 but i do not see a home page icon so i can go back to the home page after visiting a web site such as facebook, etc. in settings i have Firefox set as default, but still do not see the little house icon for going to home page. How do I get the home page icon to appear somewhere with 153.0.1

I am consistently receiving an "Access Denied - You don't have permission to access (names site specific URL) on this server" error message on several websites. -- Lowes.com, Homedepot.com, costco.com.

I can access the home page of the website, but whenever a tab on the home page is selected or a search done, the error message is received.

Have followed all help suggestions I can find. Cleared cache, cleared history, forgotten website, refreshed Firefox, run Firefox in safe mode. No impact on problem.
