I am making another plea: how do I change the font size of the working bars in firefox? The Title BAR, the Menu BAR, the Tab BAR, etc. On my computer, they're minuscule, and I can't see them. I'm not a programmer, I don't know anything about code, so that limits the way things can be explained to me, or that I can understand. Several of you have been kind enough to suggest different solutions, but they all make things worse. I think I've screwed things up almost irreparably. I can barely recognize my browser any more. I've even tried to refresh Firefox, and that also made the situation worse. And now, every tab crashes constantly. Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

Firefox popped up an offer to change the screen to dark, which I did. I don't like it, want to change it back. I went to settings but was unable to make the change.

Running on Windows 11. There are many supposed "solutions" on the Web, but none of them work. I have tried with: about:config, css files, etc. None of them work.

I like Firefox greatly, but this is so frustrating.

The developers have created a solution to a problem that didn't exist. The result is to make Firefox user clumsy.

It would have been nice if they - at the very least - had provided a way to change the 'Profiles' icon position on the menu.

Again, Firefox 153.0.1 (64-bit) on up-to-date Windows 11. Amd Ryzen 5, 6 core processor, 32 GB Ram, 500 GB SSD C drive = 197 GB free.

For some scrollables, v153 doesn't respect the Mac OS setting to hide scrollbars unless scrolling on page load. If that OS setting is adjusted after the page is loaded, then the page respects it again until refresh, so there's apparently some sort of race condition going on where it's not reading the setting in time before the page loads?

This is not a problem in v152. I downgraded back to v152 and it's working again.

I have updated to the newest version of firefox, and cannot see the menu bar or search field. I can see everything in a restore down (smaller size window) but I cannot see anything in maximize view of the window....only happens with firefox....everything works chrome and edge. If I click on the white bar it minimizes the window.

For some reason I can not understand the search bar in my toolbar has become so small that it is borderline unusable. No amount of removing and replacing it, fiddling with empty spaces, etc. has any effect on it. Furthermore it appears completely normal sized when I'm editing the toolbar. Does anyone have any clue what causes this?

Not sure if this is a settings question. After my computer had to be cleaned from a virus, the Firefox reload came without the little house home icon. When I'm done doing somethi g and want to go back to the main page, clicking the back arrow closes firefox.

I've accidentally increased the size of my inbox page. I understand how to reset the size of an individual message, by using View, but how do I resize the whole page?

and there is no "Legacy" option no options for accent color,rounding scale, etc.

I’ve been taking a look at the latest updates regarding the new Firefox design rolling out in Nightly, and while I appreciate the ongoing work and the return of features like Compact Mode, I wanted to share some thoughts from a user perspective, particularly regarding the aesthetic changes.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of heavily rounded edges across tabs and UI elements. For my workflow and visual preference, I much prefer a cleaner, sharper, and more traditional layout.

With these UI evolutions coming down the pipeline, it would be fantastic if Mozilla could provide a built-in option or setting to keep the current/classic style intact while still receiving all the important under-the-hood updates, security patches, and features. Giving users the flexibility to choose between the new design language and a more traditional layout would ensure everyone can tailor Firefox to their exact liking.

Would love to hear how others feel about the new look and whether a classic style toggle would be a welcome addition for you too!

Since this latest update to Firefox 153.0, anytime i press the CTRL key (either left or right) it automatically starts zooming in the webpage im on. Nothing is wrong with my keyboard and this wasn't an issue before this update.

Recently a "gear" icon has appeared on the bottom left of my screen while using Mozilla. It relates to moving the tabs. I don't want to do anything with my tabs. How can I get rid of the icon? The icon reduces the horizontal screen space available. I have a small laptop so this small amount of space is important.

Right Click → Save as in a normal browser window opens a system-colored save window, but since Firefox desktop 152, Right Click → Save as in a Private browser window opens a dark-colored save window, which does not have anywhere near enough contrast between the medium grey text and the black background. Is there a setting in about:config to make a Private window open a system-colored save window?

Since updating Firefox from a previous version, the browser no longer displays any Unicode emoji characters. Where an emoji would normally be rendered (👁), the browser instead displays empty space. Websites such as twitter and discord, which use their own artwork for emoji, are unaffected. This has negatively affected my browsing experience.

For illustrative purposes, I will add a series of emoji and include a screenshot of how they are displayed: (😀🙁😡💀). Other characters still display correctly: (β❖♞䷲⎈𐘢𓀺இ). My computer otherwise displays emoji correctly. The issue persists after disabling extensions, and has persisted between computer restarts.

I'm running Linux (NixOS) and Firefox version 148. I've tested on Chrome based browsers and they work fine. Tested on Firefox forks and they also don't display correctly. This is new since less than a week ago.

I came to know about Firefox Widgets but can't see any on Firefox 152 on Windows 11 desktop. The option Allow Firefox to improve features, performance and stability between updates is already checked (Screenshot attached) as suggested by users.
