After the second to the last update to Firefox I started experiencing an information pop up message "Could not determine any profile running in backgroundtask mode!".

Is there a fix for this?

Hello All, I recently had to start up my brand new MacBook Pro up in "Safe Mode" to verify an unrelated problem. When I restarted my computer from safe mode, my Bookmarks were either gone completely or "empty" and I was apparently in a newer version of Firefox. I then trashed my Firefox application and tried to restore an older version via Time Machine and after I copy it to my Applications folder I get the message that I am trying to open an older version of firefox and then doesn't allow me to do that. When I followed the option to their extents, only the new version with NO bookmarks shows up.

How can I get my old bookmarks back?

Since last Friday I haven't been able to access any of my bank accounts with US Bank. I can access these accounts through my US Bank phone app and through Chrome when I use it on my laptop as browser. When I called US Bank IT they could not help because the phone app and Chrome worked. What's happening with Firefox? I have used it for years to get to these accounts, and now I am unable to.

Last night firefox v104.0.2 and windows 10 security update installed and now my firefox bookmarks are lost. I looked into my bookmarks profiles and they also seem to be cleared from my profile. Can they be recovered?

I want to know if there was any changes in recent tab cycling behavior? Now I need not press enter or click mouse button on one tab from list. Before there was instant tab changing after stop pressing keys (ctrl+tab). Greetings Kamil Tomicki

I am using v. 104.0.1 Every time I open the browser I get the pop-up notifying me that an update is available. I don't want to update at this time. I can and will update when I prefer to. How can I get this annoying pop-up to stop? Please don't make me go to Edge. Please.

Firefox for Windows hangs when I copy text, either by Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C or by using a right-click menu. The browser just stops responding. It doesn't crash. Eventually, it will return and behave normally.

I tried removing all extensions and closing all open tabs. No change. I'm out of ideas. I suspect it may be trying to synchronize with something it can't find or there's network latency. Task Manager shows it's using a lot of resources. It doesn't do it every time, just often enough to be frustrating.

I have the volume control all the way up. I turn the volume control on videos all the way up. I have just updated Firefox. The sound is too low. Is there an add-on? It used to be OK, not now.

Please help! With the latest firefox update all of my bookmarks (and I have hundreds) are now gone!! I went on online to find help and the help was confusing and I couldn't figure out how to reload my bookmarks from the backup. Once again Firefox adds a feature I don't want and can't disable. I want not to have a tab bar. They take up too much screen and get in the way. So I fond code that eliminates the tab bar unless there is more than one tab. Then the latest release addes the 'search tab' down arrow I neither want nor ever asked for and I can't get rid of it.

Why do you insist on doing this Mozilla? How do I turn this useless feature off?

The attached image shows Chrome and Firefox accessing the exact same URL at the exact same time. Chrome is successful, Firefox is not (actually, fails over and over). So . . . wut? Clearly not a network problem, clearly not an accessibility problem, there is no firewall or proxy and Firefox is able to access other sites. Only this one is a problem. At least, so far. Security setting is Standard.

Yahoo mail Cannot select a message using the checkbox. Cannot reply, delete, etc. Trash icons are missing All works in Google Chrome. Clearing cache/cookies, restarting computer, nothing works.
