Using Firefox View, I am unable to view my tabs from other devices after setting up Sync. It is saying Check your internet connection. If you’re using a firewall or proxy, check that Firefox has permission to access the web. as if I don't have a correctly configured connection. However I indeed do and am able to browse the web without any issues. I should mention that I'm running the latest stable flatpak and I'm wondering if this could be related but I have no idea how to manipulate the flatpak to make this work.

Trying to sync between my PC and my iphone. Every time I've attempted it I've gotten this type of error report. And when I press sync on my iphone it tells me that sync is offline. I've logged out and back in a few times on both devices and I've also tried turning sync on and off again and it's not working. Tried syncing again and it didn't show up on my other pc either.

I have a question regarding syncing. Is there a way to remotely remove all synced information from Firefox on a particular PC without actually accessing it? For example, if I sync my home PC Firefox with my laptop or my work PC. Then, one day, for some reason I no longer have access to my work PC, and all of my sensitive information is there. Or if I lose my laptop, or if it is stolen... Is it possible to remove all sensitive information from a remote synced PC? Alternatively, is there a way to remove all synced information every time I close the browser? This way I can remove a particular PC in my Firefox account and once the browser is restarted at the remote location, the data will no longer be pulled and synced. Can this be done? I've read all the suggestions but can't get Firefox Sync to transfer the open tabs from my old PC to my new one. I'm signed in on both to the same account, both are on my LAN with a wired ethernet connection, and I've checked every box in the "what to sync" field. When I click "Sync Now" the icon spins for a few seconds like it's doing something but the tabs from the old machine do not appear on the new one as I expected them to. Nor can I get them by closing and doing a Restore Session.

This seems pretty straightforward and how most users would expect it to work - am I missing something? If not, why isn't it working?

Synced Tabs from other device did show till yesterday but no longer showing

It just says "connect another device"

My other device had to be 'factory reset' but that was some time ago (nearly a month) and the tabs from it were still showing till yesterday in my main device, Now they've disappeared, is there a way to get those tabs back??

I read somewhere that those tabs are maybe on the Firefox server, is there a way to access those???

I was trying to get sync to work, I go to sign in and choose my google account, then I make my password for sync, when I press "Create Password" it just tells me "Unverified Session" in a red bar on top of my email, did I do something wrong?

So I'm using firefox on my old PC and want to export the login data to my new PC. Firefox has export passwords to CSV but there is no import CSV in firefox on the new PC. There's import HTML but... firefox exported to CSV not HTML so I'm really confused, why would it export to a format that cannot be import?

I understand that cookies cannot be synced across devices, but this is not what I am asking for. Is there a way to make firefox sync the list of exceptions? Meaning, only the specified website URL and its status, not the cookies from these sites.

Hi, Is there a possibility to delete the sync data without completely deleting the account? I used Firefox Sync to transfer some passwords and I understood that they are encrypted on the sync server. However, it might be that even the encryption might be broken and attackers could steal my passwords. That´s why I would like to delete the password data on the server (but keep the account).

Is this somehow possible? I didn´t find any article about exactly this topic.

I can't see the SYNC option in Settings so I...

Use about:config to change identity.fxaccounts.enabled = true I can now see 'Sync' in Settings When I go to "Sign into Sync", after I enter my password, it hangs for 10 seconds, then says Working, then always just hangs there forever. If I login to Mozilla using a different tab, it signs in ok.

I have tried this after successfully changing the password, and after restarting firefox.

I am using the latest Firefox version.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

For now one week, I cannot sync my browser using Firefox sync. When checking the logs, I always see :

I have tested on multiples wifi network and mobile data and still the same error. After checking, it seem that this server is down, and I don't know were to report this.

Seems like when I tried logging in to my old account with a password reset, I somehow created a second account with the same email.

All my bookmarks and extension set ups seem to be gone.

Never had this issue, and have been using the same firefox account for like 5 years.

I have a new laptop, from the same brand and make as my old one, both are HP pavilion with the same configuration and only 2 years in between! I have been trying on and off for weeks, to synchronise my FF browser, with all open tabs, history and bookmarks, but all to no avail. I do everything the sync instruction tells me to do, but nothing happens. I am getting desparate, because my old laptop has a problem (hardware, nothing that could prevent synchronising) and is still under warranty, but time is running out!

Will anybody help here, and how do I receive answers?

I reset Windows yesterday to attempt to fix a problem with my computer. After redownloading Firefox and signing into a few basic things (including my Mozilla account), I realised all my logins were gone. I have followed the steps in [[this tutorial|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1310179]] but it didn't work - I think saving logins in this instance of Firefox overwrote the other logins file, as when I opened it, it only had the login info from what I logged into after I reset.

Looking at my connected services, it seems the instance of Firefox from before I reset is still open. I mention this just because it's possible that this would contribute to a solution.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have a number of securely generated passwords and cannot access a good deal of my accounts.

After up grading to a Mac Studio running Os 14.5, I downloaded the latest Firefox 126.0. I have three other computers with Firefox. The oldest a Mac Pro running 10.13.6 Hi Sierra that works flawlessly. I tried sync and bookmarks came over to the Mac Studio but not any passwords. I tried importing via a .csv file and got the message: Import complete New passwords added: 0 Existing entries updated: 0 Duplicate entries found: 0 Errors 190 (not imported)

Firefox will NOT even save manually entered passwords. I suspect some problem with Sonoma's paranoid security but I cannot find a solution. Any suggestions?

Historically, I remember when you open the `sync` sidebar and right click on the tab grouping (i.e. Firefox on iPad), it opened a context menu where you had the option to `open all synced tabs`. This seems to be missing from the latest version of Firefox (138), but wanted to check in to see if I'm missing something or if I should downgrade my version of Firefox to get that functionality again.

Sadly, I am now forced to leave firefox. My passwords are getting "forgotten" more and more each day. Did i get hacked? Few passwords like proton mail I don't actually have anywhere else. Auto-Backup of firefox seems to be of the same day as the original??? So it loses the data then saves it twice? who designed this? I'm angry, not at firefox/mozilla. angry at myself for putting my trust in the first place. Chromium doesn't sync so it leaves me with chrome FFS. Does someone has a magic wand to recover the lost data? login.json is same day as original so not an option.
