I have a couple questions on tab groups, I'm a new ms edge refuge but this not as smooth as I would like :). I realize tab groups are oddly new for FF, but I'm trying to get setup and running into two main issues. 1. I cant seem to freely reorder the tab groups, I can move the individual book pages no problem but not the groups as a whole. I would expect to be able to left hold click drag the order of the groups just like individual tabs. 2. Tab groups don't seem to exist across clients (or maybe I'm missing the how). If I open FF on my mac I would expect to see or at least be able to reopen the same tab groups as my windows PC, not just the individual pages from history on other device. Is there a way to do this? 3. can't import tab groups from edge? You don't want to make it easy for folks to switch?

I just found out about the Firefox group tabs feature and love the concept! However, on my computer (Linux, Pop OS), the default theme makes it difficult to see the underlining color for the group. Is there a way to increase the thickness? I've added a picture of how it looks, there is only a very thin (in this pic, blue) line underneath the tabs. I can barely see it, making it's use harder...

I really can't add to my Summary other than it's a fairly recent issue, started in May 2026, possible April. About.config is set to False. I hope some has a solution - it happens when I'm dealing with live incidents.

I dislike the Group Tabs feature. So many times I've accidentally created a Group Tab and then had to figure out how to un-group them.

I've tried to change the value of the "browser.tabs.groups.enabled" preference to false, but it doesn't stick; after restarting, the value is always back to "true".

What’s up with this?

I have lots (~100) of tabs open, distributed among windows and virtual desktops. Every now and then the laptop fan starts running wildly, and I identify a CPU hogging webpage in about:processes. How can I now switch to the open window/tab of that webpage to close or unload it? I would expect a click (or context menu item) within about:processes to bring me there. Currently I have to scan through all desktops/windows/tabs to find the page.

Since the last two Firefox updates currently have 136.0.2 (64-bit) "Open link in new tab" has been doing weird stuff like.... 1) it will open the link in a new tab BUT also opens the link in the already open tab giving me two open pages the same. Kind of defeats the option of "Open link in new tab". 2) trying to highlight text is not as simple as it once was. Left click before the text hold then drag, sometimes it starts then the blue highlight box just disappears or jumps to a different part of the text and sometimes nothing at all happens. 3) the mouse has been playing up as well since the last two Firefox updates, click the x in a tab to close the tab nothing happens and it is not as accurate there was a sort of margin to where the pointer had to been before the command worked not right on whatever you wanted the pointer to operate now it has to be as accurate as possible before it recognizes the command as the x to close a tab ect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse and drivers still happens. A still image would not really show the problem I need a video but I don't know how to do that and could I upload it? I can not seem to find the button to open a saved, closed tab group. I have googled, and there seems to be a lot of people with the same issue. However, None of the information given under those forums provides me with a clear, easy solution. Please help.

I have read a Mozilla blog that you can make tab groups now, i have tried to make a tab group and it for some reason i can't, i looked at Mozilla's guide for the Tab groups, they didn't help. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Hello, My Firefox recently updated (it's now v. 138.0.1), and now I can't seem to create tab groups anymore. When I move one tab on top of another, nothing happens. What can I do to get this useful tool back? Thank you!

Please consider optimizing the resource management while minimizing a tab group. This would be an amazing option to be included. If its already present in the tab groups inherent workflow, please add more documentation about its effects and more. Maybe adding optional workflows for a scenario of usage like a energy efficient usage button for a tab group is a great idea.

I found the tab groups more annoying than useful, so I went into about:studies and removed it, but doing so just makes a study entirely disappear with no way to bring it back if you misclicked, so that made me wonder, is removing studies permanent? Is it impossible to opt back in once you've opted out of a particular study?

I'm not particularly regretting my choice in this case, but it made me nervous how easy it would be to lose access to a feature just by accidentally clicking the wrong thing.

the tab groups feature doesn't work. WHen i drag one tab onto another, nothing happens, other than the tabs go back and forth. Can't put one tab over another and no group is created.

Hello. I love the feature. I didn't know it was a new feature because I started using Firefox around April. I saved my group tabs, very happy about it. Then I close and save it, then I opened it again, it was great!

I am a student, I use my group tab to add the tabs that have the resources that I need to, and would also like to study for more knowledge and for my next school year.

There was no problem at that whole time. In April 21, there was no problem until April 22, 23 no problem. But I forgot my charger at that time, because I was at my mothers house. Then I wait for weeks for my charger to come back, about 2 weeks for my laptop to revive there in my grandparent's house.

When I got my charger, and opened firefox. Wait, but at first when I opened firefox, it showed me that there is a new update, an update about tab groups that I already now. I looked at my group tabs, and they are not there anymore.

What should I do to get them back.

I've got Reading the full Article on GROUP TABS that has been released yesterday on My Firefox it Got Update and Installed But I just couldn't found the "Add to the Group option when I click right at any of my tab" + If I drag over one on Another Tab it just got replaced like they substitute their Places No BOX Border line Shows No Group Created NOTHING. In Firefox Nightly, I am using vertical tabs - Whenever I close a pinned tab and reopen it, there is an annoying divider I have to manually increase in size. This is super annoying, is there a way to do that automatically or remove the divider? Thanks!

The new group tab feature of latest update of Firefox browser (just downloaded) doesn't actually work. What's detailed in the description doesn't exist. I'm using macOS Sonoma version 14.7.5 Of course it restarted following the upgrade.
