I have blocked all websites from accessing my geolocation by default in the privacy settings and there are no exceptions on the list.

And yet,

1) many websites I visit seem to have my geolocation, even though I have never shared any information with them

2) the last two suggestions on the first page when I search for anything are always linked to my location

How is this possible? How do I fix it?

Hi. I am neirodivergent. my bookmarks are not saving, I am unable to fix the issue having followed 5 online articles/support answers. what am I to do. brain melting

For about 2 weeks now, the audio volume on youtube videos fluctuates up and down. The volume starts off low when a person starts to talk. For example, when the person in the video starts to talk, their voice volume is very low then within a second or two, the volume rises to normal as they talk. When they finish a sentence and start a new one (when there is a short pause in the audio) their voice is again at a very low volume, rising to normal in a second or two. This repeats as they speak throughout the entire video. This is not specific to any youtube video or youtube channel, it happens on all youtube videos. I have tried updating all audio drivers in Windows 11 - no improvement. I have tried rebooting the computer - no improvement Firefox is up to date, version 133.0 I have tried watching the same videos using Chrome and I do not have this problem. Any help correcting this would be greatly appreciated.

i need to delete the hotkey for closing browser/tabs with shift+w mainly. but every other hotkey is also in need of disabling. its an awful function that is completely unnecessary and unwanted. there is also nothing in the setting to even disable it which is fucking awful. why is it not a setting??

browser is about one reply from support away from being forever uninstalled.

I have been using credit card detail autofill for several years, using my Microsoft password. Suddenly, possibly since January 1st 2025, this feature doesn't work any more! The usual pop up asks me to choose a credit card; I do this and then enter my password and press Enter or Continue. After that nothing happens. The credit card number is not filled in for me and the same happens if I try to add the Expiry Date. Please can you see what may have changed either in my settings or elsewhere? Many thanks. I'm having this weird issue where youtube videos will play fine as long as I don't seek the video. If I do seek a couple of times, the image will freeze but the audio continues. The subtitles also continue if enabled. Firefox Release 134.0.1--January 14, 2025 Fresh install from Flatpak. No addons installed.I have tried both on and off hardware acceleration but the issue still persists even in troubleshoot mode.But no problem with other firefox based browsers like mullvad,librewolf,zen.

There's a problem with video playback on firefox, where after a while/randomly, the thing happens as shown in the image. I've uninstalled intel graphics driver and reinstall, didn't work, I've refreshed firefox, didn't work, I've fully uninstalled firefox and reinstall, didn't work, and when the error occurs the igpu is at 100% usage (and ram/vram usage is not full). The whole firefox app will be laggy but not windows, and upon pausing the video only will firefox be free of lag, and a refresh will solve the issue. However, it will occur again once in a while, doesn't matter the resolution or volume, and not just youtube but all other video players. It does occur more frequently and predictably when the video is paused for some time, or when the computer sleeps for a while, and I think it has something to do with the way firefox handles ram. (just my guess)

The only fix that worked was setting media.wmf.dxva.d3d11.enabled to false, which is undesirable as it increases cpu usage by at least 20% as well as increasing my battery discharge. Other fix includes using other browsers, using my nvidia rtx on firefox, and (not totally sure) setting the resolution lower.

Also, after the error occurs/before the error occurs, firefox doesn't do that blink-in-blink-out animation when going fullscreen on video players (like chrome), which can be fixed by exiting the firefox application completely and restarting it. Refresh doesn't work here.

Recently I am no longer able to pin extensions to the tool bar.

I click on the puzzle piece and get to the list of installed extensions. Next to each extension I click on the three dots to get to the pull down menu, and it only shows remove, report and manage. Within manage there is nothing about pinning.

I went through this with the support group for one of my extension thinking it was an issue with them,, but after troubleshooting with them they say it is an issue with Firefox.

Sam issue in private windows, and same issue in troubleshoot mode.

I was able to pin extensions in the past. Is this because of a recent automatic Firefox upgrade? Any know solutions? Thanks

I like to keep my bookmarks on the left side of the page. About a week or so ago I did a refresh on my FF due to another issue. So, after that was done I went through and looked at my settings and made the changes to get back to my previous choices. Now when I sign onto FF it opens up to a blank page, which I chose it to do, but my bookmarks are not on the left side. I have to click on my tool bar to put them there and also adjust the width of the size. Before I did the refresh the bookmarks would remain on the start page unless I had closed them before I signed off. I signed on using my wife's profile and the bookmarks remain on the start up "blank" page like they've always done. I did notice on her settings page that the option to always check to make sure FF was the default browser was "not" checked. I went back to my profile settings and the same box "was" checked for the FF default checking but it's shadowed out and I can't change it. I do have my "old" profile data saved if needed. How do I fix this issue where my bookmarks on the left side of the start up page "stays" that way when I close out and the next time I sign on they are still there?

I have always used Firefox to log in to my Tesco Bank account, but for the past few days I am getting this message that Access is denied on this server, yet I can log in OK from other browsers. I am based in the UK.

I use a laptop, Windows 10, have done disk clean up, removed cookies & cache - all the usual stuff, but still get the same message. All other websites are working fine, any ideas why I am not allowed to go into my Tesco Bank account when using Firefox?

Any help much appreciated.
