the issue now i have with firefox 124.0.2 is that the transition is now instant when my mouse enters or leaves the window and one of my addon buttons (roboform) no longer works with this userchrome.css edit.

its been a few updates ago it broke maybe 15 or so and now im wondering if there is a better updated script that works like it used to.

This has been happening to me with recent updates of Firefox, and I am very close to dumping a browser that I have used for years because of it. I go to load pages and it just sits there and spins and spins. In the time I take to open another browser like Chrome and copy and paste the exact same links into Chrome, where the download of the web page is practically instant. I go back to Firefox and it is still spinning and it is just ridiculous. I have no clue what would be causing this. After it finally loads a page, it seems fine on subsequent loads of pages.

I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

I have Firefox 124.0.2 running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can't update Firefox. When I manually down load the update file, it appears to run Ok, but the version doesn't change. If I go to settings and click on "Check for Updates" is comes back and says Failed to Check for Updates. How do I fix this?

Starting Friday April 19, I have been experiencing constant very brief internet outages/reconnections while using Facebook on the desktop. The outages do not occur anywhere else on the internet...and do not occur on other browsers. I prefer to use Firefox. I am using Windows 11.

I have at least some computer knowledge but not enough to understand the link on the crash report that says what this report means. Is there a cliff notes version of why my firefox keeps crashing. I have link to the page so I am not sure what info is needed to help me. I can give screenshots or link info. I'm not sure if it's safe to post everything on report or what is necessary.

Back in November 2023 I had the misfortune of a software engineer not doing his job correctly and he reinstalled the OS on my laptop instead of repairing some software that wasn't functioning correctly. Mercifully, I have had Microsoft support working on recovering my data, which has proved a tremendous task. 4 months and counting.

We have now finally managed to recover my passwords for my browsers, but they are encrypted. Microsoft Support have therefore asked if Mozilla do a decryption tool as they cannot open the file without it being decrypted first. If I was using Microsoft Edge, they would have been able to assist as that is a Microsoft product, but as Firefox is a third party application, they've asked for assistance. By the way, these are NOT scammers or hackers 'helping' me, but Microsoft support and I get everything emailed about our support etc.

I want to protect my password memory with a master password - fine. But in 99% of my time, I don't need to enter login data. Even worse, if FF starts on an "invisible" monitor, I cannot move the window.

Is there a way to have FF prompt only for the password if I attempt to log into a site ? ... it already does that when I cancel the start-up prompt.... so is there an "auto cancel at startup ?"

I saw through several threads on how to try and fix this issue but none seem to work for me, when im trying to watch a video on regular firefox it doesnt work but on safe/troubleshooting mode. and it works when i put the video in a new tab but not on the main site. and while looking in the console i get this "Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://static1.e621.net/data/ab/71/ab71a84c62b9d77fa0eb68c5e64dc165.webm. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 206. any help will definitely be nice

open app on desktop, closes within 40 seconds whether browsing, playing a bookmarked game or just watching opening page. I uninstalled app, reinstalled with saving bookmarks then without saving apps, it stills closes

When using picture in picture on Prime Video, my subtitles aren't showing up in the window, but instead on the original page, despite prime video being one of the original supported websites. Any ideas on how to fix?

I have always been able to connect with Navy Federal Credit Union for my banking until a few days ago. Every time I click on the accounts shortcut I get the FAILED TO CONNECT window. I can open my e-mail and ALL other websites. I can connect with Goggle but I've always preferred and used Firefox. I have used Firefox as my main browser for many many years. What is the problem??

Is it possible to import bookmarks for a different Mozilla account. Apparently I have 2 different Mozilla accounts. I had been using (I'll call it account #1) for quite a while, and recently subscribed to Mozilla VPN service. When I subscribed i gave it login info for "Account #2". How can I keep the logon info for the VPN, and get my bookmarks imported from the old (routinely used account #1) ? Or, can I change the VPN service to the old account (account #1)? I know how to add another device to the VPN account, but the "accounts" are on the same "device".

Almost every time that I open a new session of Firefox I get a message that there is a problem and it needs a refresh, which removes the extension I use all the time. Any ideas why this keeps happening over and over and what I might to resolve the problem?
