The people who asked this question 3 years ago were given a "chosen solution", which didn't work then. And 3 years later the underlying problem is still not fixed. Last week I tried a new solution which meant messing around with the Firefox settings. And it worked - until the next time I restarted the computer.

I copy and paste in many of my activities, which interact with external websites e.g. discussion groups. The current frustration is a discussion about Adobe, which means copying text from one window to another. It does not happen. Unless this is permanently sorted in the next couple of days, regretfully I shall switch to a workable browser, e.g. Chrome. I cannot afford the waste of time repeatedly researching then not fixing a failing feature.

To identify myself I had to scan a qr code on a website using my phone. This used to work in firefox but it doesn't anymore. It still works in edge. I'm using firefox 119.0.1 x64 on windows 11 home 22H2. How can I fix this?

Good afternoon, hi admin, regarding the latest update, please for the printer settings for landscape and portrait to be displayed on the right as before and permanently for the choice of portrait and landscape settings. because we are constrained by the print settings for PDF, we have to go to the printer settings all the time. please help for the next update. thank you for your concern.

Never had an issue with my Gmail sidebar calendar loading automatically on Firefox. With the latest Mozilla update to 114.0.2 for my Mac, the calendar sidebar flashes the calendar icon but fails to load. The other sidebar apps are functional. I can load my full calendar in a new tab with issue. Signed into my Gmail account on Chrome and Safari and the sidebar displays as it should.

I've always been able to copy & paste text from other places to Whatsapp Web in Firefox Desktop computer before. But starting today, it's not working. It only works when I copy & paste text from Whatsapp Web inside but not from other software like MS office or Slack. It's very frustrating! I wonder if it has something to do with the newest Firefox update. Please fix asap!

There is no "Check for Updates in Settings > Updates, nor is there "Allow Firefox to"

So I cannot change any Update settings. ATM Firefox (now version 116) updates automatically and some tabs (youtube) stop working without any indication why. I would like to disable automatic updates but I can't. (AFAIK)

Why?

So I have the latest version of macOS Ventura, the latest version of Firefox, and the latest version of Roblox. Whenever I try to open a Roblox game from their website (yes, I know. Roblox now has the desktop app so you don't need the website to open a game), it opens the app, but not the link, which means it doesn't open the game :( Does anybody know how to get Firefox to open the link and not just the app? (Btw no hate on firefox)

Gmail sidebar loads Calendar no error but sidebar empty/clear/white; Calendar only (other sidebar apps eg Tasks or Contacts load fine); Firefox only (other browsers eg Chrome or Edge no problem.

For some reason Firefox is now displaying in some strange langue. I have gone to settings, langues and have English selected. This should have corrected the problem but it has not. I have gone through the alternate langues menu and have what I believe to be English CA selected. Still a problem?

What else can I do?

I have just completed a new computer with new Windows 11 and fresh dowhload of Firefox and was very dissappointed to find that the Firefox font sizes on the menu and toolbars were very difficult to read because of their small size. Most of the available settings in Windows and firefox to increase the font size resulted in making the web pages and fonts bigger as well. Looking through the the Firefox help pages this seems to be a common problem that lacks a satisfactory solution - untill now.

I solved the problem by going into about:config and making the following changes: 1. Make sure that Browser.Display.OS-zoom-behaviour is set to 1 2. Set Layout.css.devPixelsperPx to 1.3 ( or between 1.1 to 1.5 to suit) 3. Set ui.textScaleFactor to 75 ( or between 75 to 100 to suit, decrease this number as you increase previous)

This solved the problem for me and I'm posting in the hope others may find this usefull.

Hi - Javzscript Enable, though "True", still brings up the error "Enable Javascript". I spent hours on this, but nothing useful was found. Has any one had this problem, and if so, were they able to fix it?

I no longer can use Firefox after years of being an avid user and supporter. I have followed all directions to enable the u2F extension. Have gone as far as reinstalling firefox. Are you going to fix the issue? If not I must discontinue which makes me sad.

DIRECTLY after 114.0.1 update, I get a CONSTANT UNENDING PROMPT telling me all about firefox , ON EACH AND EVERY SEARCH, I am here to find out how to remove this intentionally annoying, "thing" from MY PC(of course Mozilla couldn't be bothered to tell us they were installing a continuous advertisement for google, and FORCE installing it as search engine). I want this endless advertisement removed, post haste.

Hi, how do I enable notification web sites pop-up message from the corner of my windows taskbar ie; from my screenshot? I want to switch 100% away from Chrome but this one feature I can't figure out how to enable from web sites like Twitter/youtube/reddit/etc...

I installed what I thought was the "trust wallet" extension. It's not the real trust wallet. I had a little over $5K stolen in BTC, ETH, and SOL. Is there any way you can help me catch the individuals or somehow get back my stolen funds? Or any advice or direction will be helpful.
