I was able to change how they are spaced in the bookmarks bar, but not the rest of the bookmarks that are at the top of the page under the favorites icon.

No addons/extensions are in use, only default H264 plugin. Strict tracking protection with always "do not track" is set, but previously no troubles at all for years. Nvidia graphics driver last (462.59 studio) installed with EVGA GTX 1060. Hardware acceleration is disabled. How do I undo 89.0 update? Pretty much looks like (from release notes on another post) 89.0 has nothing at all to do with security and it's just someone at Firefox wanting to change things just for the sake of changing things.
I hope Firefox isn't going to start doing silly things like moving the first floor to the second floor and the second floor to the first floor just because some administrator feels like it.

The update to FF 89 caused a big problem. Large spaces in between the bookmarked web sites when the window unfolds. So now, many bookmarks don't fit in the window, and to get to the bottom - the ones I can't see - I have to click the arrow at the bottom. But making it worse, is that if I do go to the bottom, the next time I open the bookmark tab, the list will open at the bottom (it doesn't revert to the top). So I'd have to scroll up to get to the ones at the top - AND the "Other Bookmarks" tab, where I also store bookmarked sites.
I list my bookmarks in the order they're in so I can get to the ones I go to most often as fast as possible. So they're at the top - I don't have to scroll far to get to them. And the "Other Bookmarks" is hidden when the window opens at the bottom. So I'd have to scroll up to get to that as well.
Also, this update changed the size of the command windows - like the copy/paste window, or the window to get the correct spelling of the word. They're so big, they run from the top of the screen to bottom, instead of a small square. So you'll have to scroll way up to get to the command or word you want.
I did find a way to get it back to what it was:
1. Open a tab and enter about:config, click OK after the warning 2. Search proton, a few will come up, change all the ones that are true to false. One was already false so I kept it, and the last one had a 3, which I kept. 3. Exit and open FF.
This will also revert the right-click command boxes back to small squares.

No! Do NOT remove this preference! Either that or just get it back to what it was by default. I do not want longer bookmark menus and larger command windows. It was perfect the way it was.

This is true even in Thunderbird. Since FF 89, title bar and tabs are something between white and light gray, which is extremely user-un-friendly. FF developer team should return to the previous colour scheme. Yes, I know the circumstances of free software but this is NO excuse to alienate millions of users. Developers that change fully functionable software just, well, just to CHANGE it should consider that they are doing WRONG. Could anyone tell them? I am just user, not developer and I am not willing to learn developer tools like BugZilla just for this simple guiding principle.

Today I updated my Firefox Developer Edition to version 89.0b2 and now I just can not look at this browser anymore, "Inspired new tab design" is taking too much space and now became largest and at the same time least information-dense panel in my entire desktop! I searched around the web for a bit in hopes that I will find a theme or an add-on that will revert this particular change but no luck. I really want to revert to old UI look (at least tabs bar), there should be default theme or option to get back to old style. After some investigation I found userChrome.css but don't really want to install it (maybe this is actually the way of doing this kind of styling). Please help me revert UI design to old one.

I tried Troubleshoot Firefox crashes and it did not crash in troubleshoot mode. Then I tried extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems but non of these options solved the problem. I disabled all extensions, themes and hardware acceleration, and it reported the same error.

Good morning. My Firefox appears to have updated overnight and now my menu bar is a light grey colour instead of it's original black. I want to reset the menu bar colour to black because I now have no contrast between it and my tabs. I have searched the help articles but none of them tells me how to do this. I am directed down the path: settings> extensions and themes> manage your themes.
Unfortunately I can see no way to 'manage' this theme. I would mention that I am a native English speaker but any so called 'discussion' of this issue uses what I call 'geek-speak' which is unintelligible to a non IT professional.
I would be most grateful for someone to explain to me in simple terms (ie keystroke by keystroke) how to re-set my menu bar colour to black, whilst noting that the text for (file, edit,view etc) needs to then be white rather than the pale grey which it has become.
As an after thought, does anyone know which developer it is that thinks it a good idea to mess with my original view settings during an update. It is NOT helpful and, quite frankly, really annoying.

Dear Community, after one of recent Firefox updates I experience an issue with text display on certain pages. Some text is not visible because it is white on white background. The text is there, I can highlight it. I am using latest Firefox release as suggested by auto update. This white on white issue is regardless of selected Theme, even in dark theme it is white on white. Please have a look at the attached screenshots.
