As of a week or two ago I can no longer save URLs to bookmarks folders in my bookmarks toolbar. I can drag and drop it but nothing happens, does not save in that folder. Neither can I save a URL via clicking on the star then choosing a folder. Doesn't stick in the folder. How can I fix this.

I'm on the latest non-beta version of Firefox on my PC, but my problem has been happening for over a month now. Whenever I add a new bookmark, Firefox has started remembering the last folder I saved a bookmark into. That's not really a helpful feature but, worse still, it doesn't actually save the bookmark into that folder but saves it into Bookmarks Menu instead. I then have to add the bookmark again and choose the folder I want to save it into, as on the second attempt it defaults to Bookmarks Menu as the location. Sometimes the new bookmark remains in the Bookmarks Menu after the second save regardless of what other folder I select. I haven't checked to see if the bookmarks are being duplicated in that scenario.

I've been assuming that this was a bug and have been expecting it to be fixed, but there have been several new releases of Firefox since I started having the problem and it still remains. Moreover, I can't find anything online to suggest that other people are having the same issue, which makes me think it's something to do with my system.

I'd be grateful for any assistance you can provide please.

up until yesterday, i was able to 'select all tabs', click on 'bookmark tabs...', create a folder name and then select the 'bookmarks menu' as the location. there would be the folder i created with the bookmarks i selected in that folder

as of yesterday, the bookmarks are saved, but not in the folder i create. they are saved in the general drop down list below 'bookmarks'

Hello - Firefox to Safari bookmark syncing used to work seemlessly between pc and ipad. Noticed it's no longer working. I've done all the resetting/restarting/logging out/uninstalling/reinstalling recommended. It still won't sync. I ended up installing Firefox on the iPad to get the bookmarks from PC. That sync works (takes a while sometimes). But it will not ever update the IOS from the last time it worked (maybe 3 months ago). I can erase IOS bookmarks and reload from iCloud, but the files are months old.

Has this function just been removed?

I would like to add the bookmark tree to my Fickle theme so the colors used can also be seen when looking at my bookmarks. I would gladly ask permission from the person who created the bookmark tree extension and try an see if his extensions could list the bookmarks in the same blue/yellow colors of Fickle. I hope it can work and thanks for any and all help. Rob

How can I convert the bookmarks.html into a dropdown/treeview web page? Right now, the exported bookmarks.html is a one page html, which can be a very long list, How can I convert it into a dropdown/treeview html page (or pages) automaticlly? so I can dropdown the sub-tree only when I needed to.
