Mir ist mein Computer abgestürzt , musste ihn neu aufsetzen . Nach der installation von W11 25H2 , neueste Firefox 64bit installiert und versucht Lesezeichen und Passwörter zu syncronisieren OHNE ERFOLG alles WEG WIESO ????

I had some issues with Firefox so I removed and I reinstalled it. I had a Firefox account with sync enabled on since one year ago. However after the update, I couldn't recover my old profile: my bookmarks are gone. I don't know what to do. None of the guides were helpful. With an account and sync on, should have been enough to restore my data, right?

for context: my laptop was working/running completely fine last night, as of about midnight (east coast). booted it up around noon today to see that it was super slow and kinda laggy (this is a windows problem, not a firefox one, don't try and fix that, i know it sucks), and that if i restarted/shut down, it would automatically update (not what i wanted). when i did finally begrudgingly restart my laptop, it auto-updated as windows does, and i expected to open up firefox and go on with my day.

unfortunately, it prompted me to make a new user. and when i signed into my firefox account, it treated the browser that i have used for at least 8 months like i had freshly downloaded it. all of my history on here is gone. all of my bookmarks are gone. when i connected my phone to try and sync from what i had left before i updated, all my sync information went down the drain and is completely gone as well. i really don't understand what went wrong here, and i'm honestly devastated that all of my work and my history has to be painstakingly rebuilt.

if anyone has any idea of what happened here, it'd make me feel a little better and try to avoid it in the future.

My personal toolbar and all my bookmarks were saved to my account at [email removed]@u-bordeaux.fr, and today at 11 a.m. I lost everything. I can't seem to recover these bookmarks; I think there was a synchronization issue. Can you help me recover what was lost? Best regards, Jonathan

j'ai restaure w11 en supprimant tous les fichiers, puis mise a jour mon compte mozilla qui avait 2comptes 1 perso et 1 pro, pour mettre a jour a 1 compte par session pro et perso et éviter confusions ,j'ai certainement fait une mauvaise manip et je ne retrouve pas mes marques pages et mon organisation . puis je retrouver ces marques pages ???? en me reconnectant a mon compte initial et resynchroniser pour info le mot de passe du COMPTE PRINCIPAL MOZILLA a été changé car les 2 dossiers qu'il incluait avaient la même adresse mail . pour faire simple :

COMPTE PRINCIPAL MOZILLA  : cccc adresse gmail mdp : xxxx123

dessous  : compte PRO  : cccc adresse gmail mdp : xxxx123

dessous  : compte perso  : JJJJ adresse gmail

je pense avoir tt essaye , vu que j'ai restaure w11 et supprime les fichiers je n'ai plus l'anteriorité , le fait que j'ai change le mot de passe du COMPTE PRICIPAL DE MOZILLA a du ecraser les donnes . qu'en pensez vous avec mes remarciements

After purchasing a new laptop, I installed Firefox and attempted to restore my data, particularly my bookmarks and passwords. Unfortunately, during the process, I had to reset my Firefox account password because I had forgotten the original one. At the time, I did not fully realize that this would result in the loss of my synced data. I later learned that this action may have removed access to my previous settings. I checked my backup files, including the Application Support folder, but I was unable to find the necessary data to restore my bookmarks. I am certain that synchronization was enabled on my previous device, but after logging into my account on the new laptop, none of my bookmarks were restored. This situation is quite urgent for me, and I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Is there any possibility that my bookmarks could still be recovered? Firefox keeps just not work after I restart my Mac on the latest OS.

Now I have reloaded firefox and all of my bookmarks are missing and the account is unscynced?

Lost my Passwords on my desktop and can't recover them through profile manager, I found them on my android phone and want to recover my passwords from there, but am worried if I try and sync to the desktop, the desktop might overwrite the passwords in the phone.

I switched from Windows to Linux. I have signed in and tried retrieving bookmarks, browsing history and passwords, AFTER already having formatted my computer and deleted Windows. I signed in to the same account, had syncing on, but i can't seem to get any of the stuff back. I didn't have any additional backup files with those. Is there anyway i could somehow restore it all? The bookmarks are most important to me out of those. I'd be extremely grateful for any help

My computer crashed and after restarting I have lost my account data including profiles, history, bookmarks, extensions, open tabs, etc.

I have tried the basic methods suggested online like looking for hidden profiles, finding a folder for old Firefox data on the desktop, restoring from apparent backups that are meant to be there, etc. The account should have been logged in all this time and had sync on, which is not working... but should there be some sort of sync history I can restore from? Or a local backup from somewhat recently?

Quite simply I replaced the dead power supply on an old PC of mine and booted it up to start using it again as a work PC.

When I did the now decade old version on firefox told me I might want a clean reboot which I clicked Ok since the history was so old on it as to be irrelevant. Firefox closed but didn't reboot. So I launched it again and simply chose not to restore the old tabs when prompted (not even some of them as that was also an option). I updated the old version on firefox I had on it before restarting it and logging into my firefox account to sync and try to transfer my work tabs to the old PC. When I did so I realized on the old PC that reopening Firefox didn't reopen where I had left off. I thought it was just the update but did a check nonetheless. Opening a couple of random tabs before exiting firefox and launching it again. It didn't reopen the last tabs. I checked the settings: "open previous windows and tabs" was checked. Did a brief google search that confirmed my next step: uncheck that box > exit firefox > launch firefox > check the box again > relaunch firefox. I did all that and was still not getting my tabs back.

Then I went back to my current PC (where I had changed nothing) and missclicked (I think I was going to the settings) exiting firefox there (3 windows and probably ~60 tabs ... yes I have a problem). And now even on my main PC firefox didn't restore windows and tabs!

I hoped I could go to history > reopen closed windows but no dice. The option is greyed out. That is also when I noticed I had no history whatsoever.

Now I unfortunately relaunched firefox a couple of times here trying to troubleshoot BEFORE I went online and saw that I could have possibly restored the last session using some backups.

With all that in mind can I still restore my tabs/history somehow? And why isn't firefox picking up where I leave it even though the option for it is on?

All of this is on firefox v148.0 on win10 for both PCs if that's relevant.

Firefox keeps forgetting my bookmarks, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. After reinstalling, Firefox defaulted to my wife's profile. I then tried to recover an old backed up profile using sync. I selected the right profile, but Firefox reports there are no compatible files in any of several backup file folders.

I just reinstalled my OS (Windows 11), and installed Firefox, logged in, and just couldn't believe my eyes. Everything is just gone. Passwords, history, everything. Why then Firefox Sync is using email and password if it doesn't have any cloud storage for passwords and doesn't even work like chrome? Should I install Firefox on my iPhone to regularly sync two devices (manually), to store passwords on another device, then sync back?

So I had logged into this Firefox account, but while I was, I forgot my password. I needed to enter the correct code from the email, but I lost the recovery key; I needed to enter in the 2FA code from my phone, then I could now change the password. When I logged in, boom, bookmarks gone. Passwords gone, and browsing history gone. I was waiting for it all to sync, but it had probably synced the deletion of everything possibly. I have no idea what happened, but I do not believe my account was compromised, because I did not get any emails about any new logins. If it is encrypted, how can I decrypt it so I can get my stuff back? Thanks.

Restarted my browser to update, and it 1. crashed my computer, and 2. erased all of my bookmarks and previous information. When I tried to log back in, it said that I couldn't restore anything and that I didn't have an account with my information already attached, even though I've been using FireFox and have saved bookmarks for years. How do I get it back? I know it exists somewhere, so I don't understand why I can't find it in the app now. It doesn't make any sense why it would seemingly crash my computer, too. Please help.

Firefox has reset entirely.

All of my profiles, bookmarks and saved passwords have disappeared; only history from this session appears. When I look at "Sync" I see the tabs from one of the profiles in the "Tabs from other devices"... it looks like Firefox thinks I have signed in from a new device, but I haven't.

The "tabs from other devices" lists the tabs from one profile under the correct device name. I am hoping all of the profiles, bookmarks, passwords etc are in there still. How do I "reclaim" these profiles on my laptop?

Where is this information stored so that I can access it?

You jerks deleted passwords and bookmarks I needed for work just because I reset my password to login. Why in gods name would you think that's a good idea? Why would I ever use your sync function if you're gonna delete my data the moment you get the chance?

To whom it may concern,

After the latest update I was met with a blank profile, no saved data, even when syncing with my Mozilla Account. I followed the back-up instructions by the support team described in the forums, but it wasn't enough. Common sites I frequent like youtube and gmail were not indexed, the passwords and logins were nowhere to be found. I really don't get what's going on, or why would the Mozilla Account wouldn't recover the data, while leaving that to profiles. Is there any way to recover it further? Or even disable profiles?

My firefox recently crashed (f5ea38ba-f4f8-4224-8ab8-982e19cc72f7) is the crash code if that helps it happened just now, i dont have any additional profiles and no folder such as "old firefox" is there any way i can recover all the information and my old settings or passwords or anything? I tried to log into my firefox account to sync up data but there was no update on the information
