Amazon exploits its workers, pollutes a bunch, and even works with israel. google sells user data, and also pollutes a bunch and works with israel, and temu potentially uses slave labour, as well as polluting a bunch.
I understand Mozilla needs money to operate but I'm sure there are tonnes of ethical businesses it could promote

After a couple of years just receiving emails on my phone, I decided to sort out how to send them. I see that the Thunderbird App can be installed simply by pointing phone at desk top screen QR code. I clicked onto Thunderbird Settings/Export for Mobile then clicked 'export' and got request for Username and Password, but have not got these to hand and don't know where to find them. When I try to embed an image in an email as soon as I click on "insert" and "image" the message freezes. All I can do is to access the task manager to close Thunderbird altogether and then start again - but the same problem occurs when I try again.
I had to fall back on sending the image as an attachment. Now that I come to think of it this has been a problem for some considerable time.
NB as you can see from the sequence this crash occurs before I have been able to select the image - so it has nothing to do with the size or format of the image.

My computer crashed and so restarted it, when went to open thunderbird got a couldn't load XPCom message. Followed directions to reinstall thunderbird without using the uninstaller. When I installed it, I reloaded my email to set it up. I have lost all my latest emails, only getting them from 15 years ago. and today, nothing from this year. All my folders have also gone and my contacts.
Can someone please help, how do I fix it, I have emails from this year that I need to keep.

Just noticed that I have 2 folders named Sent. One of them is the Trash folder, which has a garbage can icon next to the word "Sent". When I click on properties of the folder it shows the name as Sent and the Location as mailbox://nobody@Local Folders/Trash. I clicked on Repair Folder and that didn't alter the name of the folder. The name "Sent" is read only.
