Hello, I am suffering from an odd issue when using twitch.tv. In short, when viewing peoples streams, my video feed will usually turn into colorful static (aka "clown vomit"). I suspect that the issue is coming from Firefox, but I can't be certain. I am using a newly-bought laptop and the issue could be caused by a large number of things, theoretically. Here is what I know:

• When viewing on twitch.tv with quality 360p or higher, the video feed will usually (95%) become colorful static within 1 minute or less. When this happens, the video feed does not ever recover until page is refreshed or quality is changed. (I know a bit about video encoding, so this seems extremely odd to me, if it were due to a networking thing that lost some packets, a full-image frame should come alone sooner or later and fix things, but that never seems to happen)
• The video feed is far less likely to become corrupted when viewing at 160p, but can still happen.
• The ads may become corrupted in the same way that the main video feed can.
• When the feed is corrupted, the rest of the Twitch interface (pause/play, volume, quality select) is extremely laggy.
• When the feed is corrupted, if I pause the stream, sometimes the paused corrupted image is not completely stationary! There will be flickering in small portions of the image, looking similar to texture fighting in 3d rendering, flickering between two equally-but-differently corrupted versions of the image
• The issue never appears when using Chrome to watch twitch.tv. This is what makes me think Firefox is the culprit, not Twitch or networking or graphics drivers.
• Disabling my browser addons does not help.
• Private browsing window does not help.
• Clearing my browser cache does not help.
• I have had the issue happen on Youtube exactly once in 2 weeks, not sure if that's related or not, I think it was a normal "lost some network traffic but fixed itself the next time a full frame was received" thing.
• Video live streams on Youtube don't get corrupted the way they do on Twitch.

Can someone please give me advice for how to fix this? Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there a way for me to get deeper under the hood of either Twitch or Firefox and more closely debug the video stream when it fails?

Hi, I'm using Firefox 142 on Ubuntu 24.04. It's a fresh install. I cannot sign in icloud.com with Firefox even though it works with other browsers like Brave. I deleted all cookies and site data and disabled extensions (KeePassXC). It doesn't help. I tried in new private window. No success. I copy my password from a password manager, so, no, I haven't mistyped it.

Here's what I do:

1. Open Firefox and go to icloud.com
2. Click on the "Sign In" button
3. Enter my Apple-ID and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Email or Phone Number" field

At this point Brave behaves differently than Firefox. See below for how Brave behaves.

Firefox: -> A "Password" field appears (no buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey")

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> Error message "Failed to verify your identity. Try again" appears. See icloud.png

Brave: -> Two buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey" appear. See icloud-with-brave.png

1. Click on button "Continue with Password"

-> A "Password" field appears.

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> 2FA code is sent to my iPhone -> "Two-Factor Authentication" form opens... etc. complete sign in successfully

Unfortunately I cannot attach the HAR file from the login sequence because the password is included. However, I attached some screenshots from the Web Developer Tools. It seems to me that the login flow with Firefox is broken. I can't tell who's to blame, Apple of Firefox. The error message with Firefox is always the same, no matter whether I enter the correct password or rubbish. In Brave, however, there is a more precise error message when I enter a bad password. As of 7/10/2025, Xfinity Streaming does not open through Firefox. I much prefer Firefox to any other browser so I am a little mystified as to why all of a sudden Xfinity Streaming does not open. I receive my Comcast email through FireFox but when it comes to streaming content, the Xfinity logo just sits there and does not open.

I am using Firefox desktop on Windows 11. I have downloaded hundreds of articles from this website, with no problem until yesterday. I accessed the website using Edge, and it worked fine.

I really don't want to stop using Firefox, but I need a usable browser. Can you help me?

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even at 480p. Audio keeps playing normally. This does not happen in Chrome on the same computer. The issue started about a week ago. I’m using Firefox on Windows 11 on a laptop. Restarting Firefox did not fix it.

For years I have used Firefox to access my Bank of America online account. I am also using Quicken kinked to Bank of America. Today, when logged into bank of America, every action I take results in being sent back to the sign on screen. After clearing with Quicken Support as requested by BOA, I was directed to use a different browser which worked normally. I was told by BOA that the issue was with Firefox.

Hi, I need help with an issue related to how my website https://forganica.com/ loads in Firefox. The site works fine on Chrome and mobile browsers, but in Firefox some elements are not rendering correctly and the layout shifts on scroll. Is there a recommended way to debug layout or CSS rendering issues specifically in Firefox? In Firefox, the animation exhibits performance issues like stuttering, particularly in elements that rely on animateTransform and animate for movement or opacity transitions. This issue is not present in Chrome, where the animations run smoothly without any noticeable lag.

Expected Behavior: The animation should render smoothly on both Chrome and Firefox without any stuttering or lag, providing a seamless experience for users.

Steps to Reproduce:

Open the provided SVG code in Firefox.

Observe the animation, particularly the elements with animate and animateTransform attributes.

Notice the stuttering or lag compared to the smooth rendering in Chrome.

Yahoo Finance stock charts are not loading. Never encountered this problem before this week. A GeekSquad tech support person was not able to fix the problem and recommended I contact Firefox. Edge and Chrome load Yahoo Finance stock quote sites just fine; I'm only having trouble with Firefox. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks! Carol

firefox is keeping me from accessing certain sites. why. do i need to switch to safari to access the sites. they do load on safari. can it be fixed or do i need to change?

when i login my google account on firefox they say this browser is not try another browser. and if you already use supportive browser then try again and if click on try again and try it they still show me same statement.

I've embedded a Youtube video from our company's YouTube page into our website. It works fine on Chrome, but on Firefox it displays the error message: 'Video unavailable Playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner Watch on YouTube' I have not disabled playback on other websites. Where could this problem be? It looks unprofessional for the video not to be working.

My Ebay page has become unuseable all other websites work fine.

It will load correctly using the Microsoft edge browser but not firefox and only as of tonight. Note all other websites work fine

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

a web site continues to say mozilla browser need update to correctly access web page. I have downloaded latest update ESR for Firebox (using windows 7 OS) But web site still says I need update! Is it me or the web site that has the problem?

I cannot sign into my att/yahoo email while using Firefox. After calling AT&T they told me to use Microsoft Edge which I told them I would not! When trying to sign in I receive the error message "It's not you, It's us" try again. It is my belief that att is trying to coerce me to change browsers so they can spy on me

msn.com and outlook.com recently changed their login procedure and I can't login using firefox. I get an error 400.

I’ve run into a weird issue with my website, https://goldenretrieverguides.com/ . Some of the images don’t load properly in Firefox, but they display just fine in Chrome and Edge. I've checked caching, image formats (mostly JPG and PNG), and even tried clearing the browser cache.

I’m using WordPress with an image optimization plugin, and the site is SSL-enabled. Could this be a security or compatibility issue specific to Firefox? Any suggestions on what I should look into or debug?

When pasting an image from the clipboard in Outlook Web Access in Edge there's right mouse button option to "Paste as Image". This places the image inline. In Firefox there's no option like this.

Safe mode (troubleshooting mode) doesn't fix this. Ctrl + V or Shift + Ctrl + V doesn't fix it. Shift RMB to get Firefox menu does show Paste and Paste without formatting but it doesn't paste any inline image.
