Hello! I am using the following code (userChrome.css) to color the individual folders created on the toolbar and it works great;

What I am trying to find, is how to change the color of the individual folder name (text) from white to maybe black, yellow, etc.….

In about:config I set browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to true and browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll to true

Now, single clicks in the address bar select the entire URL except when the address bar contains an address provided by New Tab Override. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

I had to refresh Firefox. When I redesigned my toolbar, I moved the "Bookmarks Toolbar" icon to the toolbar. The Bookmarks toolbar is still empty, and I can't find the "Bookmarks Toolbar" icon anywhere. I reopened the toolbar editor, but the "Bookmarks Toolbar" icon is nowhere to be found. How do I find the icon so I can put it in the Bookmarks Toolbar, where I distinctly remember dragging it?

When in Google Sheets in Firefox a single scroll click of the mousewheel takes me to the very bottom right of the sheet. The scroll wheel is then disabled vertically and horizontally.

Error is verified for all Google Sheets. Problem does not exist when accessing these sheets in Incognito Mode.

Error does not occur when accessing these sheets in Chrome.

Sheets is all but unusable without mouse scrolling capability.

When I left-click on text and hold the left mouse button, then right-click, first release the right button, then the left button, a "selection mode" is activated, where the end of the selection follows the mouse pointer despite no button is held. In principle this looks like a useful feature (or it would if the scroll wheel worked in that mode, which it doesn't). But at the same time, the context menu opens when the right button is released. So we trigger two features at once, making both less useful, because they're getting in each other's way.

This frequently happens to me when double clicking on a word and right clicking to open the context menu on it. Accidental overlap of the left and right clicks triggers the selection mode.

Can this behaviour be configured (e.g. to use a custom shortcut) or, if not, be deactivated entirely?

I'm using Firefox 123.0.1 on Linux (openSUSE Tumbleweed).

I want to disable media controls overlay without disabling media keys. I wandered in config but couldn't prevail with said subject. Its a nice feature unless I have to stop a quite few times then its just a blockage for my much needed viewspace.

Youtube, and only youtube, will not play audio. Netflix works, Hulu works, steam games works. But no audio on youtube. it's not my computer's audio settings, Youtube works fine on edge. I love firefox, it is my default browser, but, you know, what the fuc*! why won't youtube work?! I know it's not your fault but, you know, I call bologna! Attached is a screenshot of a video on youtube. Usually I can hear sounds but not now.

My Subject pretty well says it. I'm trying to transfer by syncing my desktop Firefox with the Firefox 124 on a newly installed Kubuntu on a new laptop. I have all these functions synced ON. The recent history but not the long-term history, passwords (thank heavens), and all bookmarks got transferred, but not the open tabs/pages. I've done the desktop sync followed by the laptop sync a few times, still without the tabs' transferring. How do i get those transferred?

Hello, I'm looking to stopping **ALL** website Pop Up Notifications--NOT just selected ones. I've already gone to Privacy & Security-->Notificatications. This is feature is totally pointless. This feature assumes you repeadily go to the same singular site that causes pop ups --not random site you visit. I did check off the button at the bottom "Block new requests asking to allow notifications." My issue is NOT, NOT seeking to block "permissions" (I have never seen or been asked by Firefox to 'allow permission for website notifications')--I'm seeking to stop ALL website pop ups notifications that intrusively just appear at the lower right corner. I don't understand why there isn't a single button to stop these intrusive and annoying pop up pushes??? It's a no brainer. I hope you can help with a solution. Thank you in advanced.

YouTube has been so slow in Firefox. It just takes a ton of time for the video to actually play. It's just a spinning circle in a video. I can refresh several times and then it plays. I cleared my cache, history, data...etc everything from Firefox. That seemed to help for a bit. Then it just resulted back to being slow. It's just in Firefox. I played videos in Edge. It was fine. No issues. It's just FireFox. It started most recently too. It wasn't happening a week ago. I even tried going back to an old version of Firefox. Didn't help. Anyone know how to fix? Not using ad blockers either FYI. I just want videos to play normally and fast.

I have some Bookmarks on my laptop. I have some of these Bookmarks (Not all) on my tablet, plus some other Bookmarks.

If I sync them, which direction does the sync work in? Will all my Bookmarks on my laptop now appear on my tablet (Which I do not want to happen)? Will all my Bookmarks on my tablet now appear on my laptop (Which I do want)? Will I end up with two copies of most Bookmarks, because all my laptop Bookmarks are transfered to my tablet, plus all my tablet Bookmarks are transfered to my laptop?

I cannot find any explanatioin of what Sync actually does.

Hi, When I use a shortcut for a bookmark (e.g., typing "yt" to activate my youtube search bookmark with URL set to "https://www.youtube . com/results?search_query=%s" and shortcut set to "yt") it opens in a new tab. I am in the habit of making a new tab before using a shortcut to search using a bookmark. How can I change the shortcut bookmark behavior to open in the same tab where i typed the query into the URL bar?

Hi there - Every website seems to come up in English, ie Firefox seems to be translating other languages automatically. (My version is Firefox for Mac 123.01 64-bit.) I am wondering how I can prevent automatic translation of websites. I have had a look in preferences etc, but I do not see anything there to prevent automatic translation. I'm running Firefox 123.0.1 on Linux Mint 21.2. Something changed after my last update. I visit a number of web sites at which I scroll down a window to a link, click on it to open it, read that link, and then return to the previous page. Examples are news sites like slashdot.org, associated press, or arcamax. Firefox used to return to the place in the original site page where I had clicked on a link. Now, it returns to the top of the original site page, and I have to scroll down again to where I had clicked on a link. I can right click on a link, open a new tab, and then close that tab, but that requires multiple clicks, and I used to just click/click. Is there a way to set up Firefox to go back to the previous behavior? Thanks in advance. ;

I have a Mac desktop, a laptop with Windows 11, and an Android phone. I have about 120 bookmarks saved. On my Mac, they periodically backup fine and I can restore them if anything goes wonky. My phone and Windows laptop both show all the same bookmarks as the Mac. However, if I go to Manage Bookmarks to restore them on the Windows laptop, it shows many backups have occurred but only 5 bookmarks have been backed up. I have signed out of Firefox on all devices and signed back in. The Windows laptop did one correct backup showing the 120 or so bookmarks, and then every subsequent backup shows only 5 again. After a few weeks, the "correct" backup has been overwritten and is gone.

Anybody know what I can check to make the Windows laptop backup my bookmarks correctly?

I don't have a home page button on my browser. How do I add a home page button? Also, when I navigate to a new page my bookmark tool bar at the top disappears. I only have the bookmark tool bar on my home page. I want it to show on every tab I open so I can easily navigate from there rather than having to go back to my home page every time. This problem started when I got a new computer. The browser works fine on my old computer.

Recently I had to refresh Windows 11 on my Dell desktop. It defaulted to McAfee antivirus. I uninstalled McAfee and reinstalled Norton 360 which I had before. I reinstalled Firefox. I have version 123.0.1. I imported my FF bookmarks after exporting them from another computer. Now, FF remembers my IDs but not my passwords. When I log in to a website, FF offers to save my password and when I click yes it pops up a bubble saying "Password saved!" However, next time I go to that website, although it remembers my ID, it does not recall my (supposedly saved) password. In this support site, I see most users with this problem say FF will not remember either their IDs or passwords, whereas FF remembers my IDs, so my problem may be different. In FF help, I see that another password manager could be keeping FF from saving passwords. To the best of my knowledge I have never used another password manager. What is keeping FF from saving my passwords, while remembering my IDs? Is there a Windows Registry setting or a FF About:Configuration setting I need to change? Is re-installing FF a last ditch option?
