Win 7 Home Premium Firefox Version 101.0.1
'Privacy & Security'->'Cookies and Site Data', 'Clear Data.'
When 'Clear Now,' Cached Web Content; is clicked, it does not zero out. (It used to clear completely).
The browser webpage has been refreshed, the browser closed and reopened, and the computer restarted but the cache does not reset.
This issue started on the morning (Pacific time) of June 26-Is this a known glitch or am I missing a detail?

I'm clicking on a list of links on a page, and the download-panel keeps popping up. This blocks the view of the page that I'm clicking on and I lose my position on the page as I'm clicking.
I like seeing the download-panel, so I don't want to turn it off. I'd just like it to show only the last clicked-on entry, not the last 10 or however many it's showing, which seems to include completed downloads.
I can see that it has a hard limit on how many entries it shows. Is there a way for me to adjust that limit?

I can ignore Firefox experience being worst from all browsers out there, but when Firefox randomly (delete/crash/bug or whatever) cookies so I have to re-enter everything over and over again I loose my patience.. Enabled cookie and catche deletion. Whitelisted some sites. It work pretty okay. Time after time I open Firefox, boom, all my setings gone. I'd rather use keylogger on steroids Chrome, but don't have to care about every bug in this barely usable browser..

Hi, Downloading files to a system directory (Linux) such as /home/me/doc/here /home/me/doc/there Have Ask me where to save files checked.
But lastDir is not a real directory I can navigate, such as /run/user/1000/doc/3dcccd48
This causes the user needs to navigate sometimes very long system directory tree for each successive file download.
In about:config I set:
browser.download.lastDir browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite false browser.open.lastDir
But every time these are obfuscated to something like: /run/user/1000/doc/3dcccd48
This introduces about 10 user interactions with mouse/keyboard for each file I download in succession.
How do I get FF to stop obfuscating real system directories for "lastDir"
Really really appreciate the help :)
Please help me fix what just happened and restore all my Firefox data to where it was yesterday.

Solutions tried but unsuccessful: 1. Checked page size. It is correct at (80 x 297mm) 2. Cleared browsing history, cache, site settings, etc from start of time. 3. I have put print_resolution to 0 in about:config 4. I have put scaling to 1 in about:config ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1297631]) 5. I have put shrink to true in about:config ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1297631]) 6. I have alternated values (1 and 9) of paper_data in about:config (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1297631) 7. Uninstalled ticket printer driver, rebooted PC and then installed again (Xprinter XP-80C). 8. Uninstalled Firefox completely, rebooted PC and downloaded again from Firefox website. 9. I have tested on a Laser A4 printer from Firefox on that same PC. Works fine. 10. Attached is the scanned picture of print from Firefox 100. Firefox 100 11. My installation of 32-bit Firefox 102 had been repeatedly crashing, sometimes for no apparent reason. I decided to download the 64-bit version of Firefox 102, uninstalled the 32-bit version, carried out a standard installed and all this appeared successful. I noticed that I was getting a lot of advertisements and remembered that I had had Ghostery installed as an extension in my 32-bit Firefox. I went to the extensions page, selected Ghostery and asked for it to be added. Shortly after that, I got a message that the installation had been aborted because the extension might be corrupt. I tried again and got the same message. I tried another ad blocker, and got the same message with that one; and tried a third with the same result. What is going on? I haven't changed any settings in Firefox since the standard installation, and the extensions were from the Firefox source, so how can the extensions be corrupt? If it isn't corrupt, why isn't Firefox installing it?

Evening, all.
It's very rare I ask for help on ANY fora, if I'm honest. I can almost always sort out my own issues, especially with browsers. However, this one has stumped me.
I've noticed that, on any website where user interaction requires use of a microphone, the Linux build of Firefox only ever offers "source_default_name" for choice of microphone. Well, OK; I can see this being fine for the vast majority of folks who use a laptop; the built-in microphone WILL be the "default" microphone, no questions.
My question is this; what do those of us running desktop PCs do about microphone selection, hmm? A desktop PC doesn't HAVE a "built-in, default microphone", does it? By their very nature, any microphone you're going to use with a desktop is going to be an externally plugged-in device. I have three of these; a USB microphone.....a wireless headset, and the twin stereo mikes on a Logitech c920 webcam.
Do I get anything resembling a drop-down list to choose what I want to use? Uh-uh. Firefox - apparently! - doesn't "see" any of them. Not individually. All I ever see is "source_default_name".....
Grrrr...!!
C'mon, guys! Frankly, this is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Linux, to the best of my knowledge - unlike Windoze - doesn't make 'global' device settings, which every application then uses. It's always been far more fine-grained than that, allowing individual device use on a per-app basis. But that only works if the 'app' in question allows those choices to be made.
Any Chromium-based "clone" - and I use several of these, as I package portable versions for the Puppy Linux community - will give a full drop-down list of every available device it can find. Why can't the Linux builds of Firefox do the same?
I shall be interested to see what, if any, replies I get to this question. It's been bugging me for years...!
Mike.

The title pretty much describes the problem. Whenever I open a website that plays videos on some page in it automatically, Firefox blocks autoplay only the first time the website is opened. If I navigate through the website to another page that contains videos which the site autoplay as well, Firefox doesn't block the video from being played automatically.

So, I've migrated from Chrome to Firefox, and it's great, but I have a couple of issues now. One of them is with web push notifications from Google. First, I had an issue with notifications not showing up at all (or maybe they do show up, but the timeout is short and I miss them), but I've solved that with this in about:config set to tru:
dom.webnotifications.requireinteraction.enabled
Now, notifications do stay on until I click them, but when I click them, all they do is close, disappear. And I'm talking only about YouTube notifications, when I get them from other websites, they work fine, I click on them and the proper link opens.
Any ideas how to solve this?
How do I check if I have an ad blocker installed? How to unable it?
