I have a situation - which I had previously researched and resolved - that has come back to haunt me.

I use an ultra-widescreen monitor and searching/browsing obviously necessitates a center-screen search box which, up until now, Firefox has provided cleanly and with simplicity. However, I see that (once again) despite cursor placement in the center-screen box the search text is being entered in the address bar which is wholly impractical for me since I have to look about 60 degrees left and upwards to see what I am typing.

I say "again" because when this happened previously I was able to make a config change and resolve it but despite that still being in effect - the ".handoffToAwesomebar" is still set to FALSE - search text now has moved back to the address bar.

A brief search of this community yielded no answers. Is there any other known fix or has this now be thrust upon us permanently and thou shalt adapt?

I am having a problem with Firefox. Some websites do not load correctly and certain extensions do not work as expected.

I have already tried restarting Firefox and checking my internet connection, but the issue still happens.

Please advise how to fix this problem. Thank you.

This setting, "Always ask you where to save files," is definitely broken.

Proposed solution: "I believe you also need to go into Tools -> Settings -> General and set the Action for the types of downloads (Applications) to Always Ask for those types you want it to."

But this workaround should not be needed. "Always ask" means always ask. As in always. No other additional steps should be needed.

Can you folks please open a bug to get this fixed? This used to work just fine in (much) older versions of Firefox and Netscape. "Always ask" is supposed to mean always ask. Like, always.

How do I get the full url line of where I am currently on the homepage back for the search line, or the old full browser line? Have been looking in settings and haven't located it.

About ready to leave firefox over it, and been here for years.

My wife's old Windows 10 HP laptop quit working last week do to some Operating System failure while it was trying to do an update. It finally did a reboot and now it is useless, at least as it is! It will NOT complete the boot process after trying all of the options offered. All that I am able to is exit out of Windows to a "DOS prompt." I am able to get to the Mozilla Firefox folder and others contain within. The new Windows 11 laptop I bought her is working fine with a fresh Firefox browser installed about a week ago. What she wants is her web links, settings and saved passwords "copied" from the old laptop and installed on the new one! We have no idea how many there are to retrieve! I'm hoping that there might only be one folder that I can copy via "command line" prompt to a USB drive and move the file(s) to the new laptop the same way. Can anyone tell me what I need to know? I use Firefox as my default browser, and I like it very much.

Problem: I received an outlook email with a link to a Docusign envelope. The link would not connect with Docusign.

Work Around: When I used another browser, Microsoft Edge, the link opened up right away.

Additional Information: I use another digital signature program, Dotloop, and it works without any issues on Firefox.

Question: What can I do to make sure that Docusign works properly on Firefox?

Over the last 5 or 6 months, Firefox seems to have lost the capacity to remember my open tabs if my Mac is forced to restart. These open tabs are vital to my workflow. If this can't be solved, I shall have to migrate to another browser, which is something I do not wish to do.

My Firefox version is 147.0.4; my computer a Mac Studio 2025 M3 Ultra; my OS Tahoe 26.3.

1. How to save a tab group without closing it? 2. How to make individual tabs in a tab group permanent? (So when you close a tab group only the permanent members are preserved.)

The last update (which was VERY rocky... I had to reinstall and functionality has NOT been great since) eliminated the Bookmarks icon from the top ribbon. I've looked through settings, but find no way to restore it. Can it be restored? I now have to click the menu, Settings, and THEN Bookmarks.

I hope this is ok to post here.

My windows MSN app says this. When I select '"Open in Browser", this happens.

However, when I select "Video Hub", it works normally.

I tried clearing the cache and cookies. Reset. Uninstalled/reinstalled. I can separately access the website on Firefox.
