WHERE IS MY BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR??? Every time I update Firefox (now 109), I end up with all kinds of problems! NOW, I can't see my bookmark toolbar. All the help articles tells me how to show it or how to bookmark a page, which I already did multiple times. But this issue is never solved. If I can't get this resolved, I'm going to MS Edge.

I would like to transfer my bookmarks (and my open tabs) from my Windows 10 laptop to a new Windows 11 laptop. I've looked at the questions and answers people have posted but its a complete mystery to me. I had thought that when I loaded Firefox onto the new PC and signed in, everything would automatically appear. I was successful in doing that with Chrome but Firefox is still my primary browser and I've had no luck. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to put a shortcut to a web site on the Desktop. Using the the padlock on Firefox 109.0(64 bit) puts it in a sticky note on Desktop instead of a shortcut on the Desktop.

I am running running on Fedora 37 KDE where this does not work.

Using Fedora 37 Workstation (GNOME), the shortcut is created and works.

How do I get the shortcut to work on Fedora 37 KDE?

Good morning, Recently I discovered there are two maps called "Andere bladwijzers" in my Firefox browser. I deleted a submap in the second map and noticed this submap had also disappeared in the first map. Is there something I must do or can I leave these two large maps as it is? I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

I have many bookmark folders with many items in each folder. Some folders have many,many items in those individual folders. To scroll down the many items I have in a folder takes time. Is there any shortcut I can use to get to the end of the list in a folder without scrolling down for five minutes to get to the end of a list? I have looked in the Firefox website but I have not seen this question. I have many folders that have a lot of items I have bookmarked. Thanks for any help you can give.

I recently installed windows on a new solid state hard drive, and did a fresh install of firefox, but I forgot to manually backup my bookmarks. The old install is still on the old windows hard drive, is there a way for me to move them onto the new install? I'd prefer to not have to rebuild the whole list from scratch!

I installed the latest version of Firefox browser and now my bookmarks and passwords are gone.How can I get them back or can I go back to before the update to the previous version to get everything back. I'm disabled and I rely on my computer to stay in touch with everything and I can't remember all my bookmarks and passwords. I tried one method from the website and it said that I had 11 bookmarks but it didn't restore them. Anybody that can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello there; I had installed the "savefrom.net" extension. This extension automatically generated the website address to the "bookmarks toolbar". I deleted the extension and deleted the shortcut as well. But when the bookmarked website shortcut "firefox" is closed and reopened, it adds itself to the bookmarks toolbar again. No matter what I did, it didn't work. I don't want to delete Firefox completely and reinstall it. Because there are too many shortcuts and data that I use all the time. How do you think I can solve this problem?

When I bookmark something, I often apply tags. I have noticed that when I use a very long tag, combined with many tags, it prevents tags being used. For example, the word "internationalization" prevents tags being stored.

A bookmark that is tagged like this: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen internationalization will not have its tags saved.

However, this is stored successfully: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen internationalization

This also stores successfully: 'one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen'

Hi everyone

I can no longer drag a bookmark to a folder and insert it where I need to in the folder, which previously was very useful.

Now when I drag a bookmark and try to insert it where I need to it defaults to inserting it as the first / top bookmark in the folder. Which means I have to drag it a second time to its desired position.

Please could anyone advise about how to get the functionality back.

I think this started after my most recent upgrade - I'm currently on 108.0.1, but I suspect it was an upgrade from 107, not just from 108.0 (I use PortableApps and only upgrade through PA, and it takes time for PA to prep new versions of app, so sometimes short-lived versions are skipped, and the 108.0.1 changelog only mentions one tiny bug fix). When trying to access a bookmark or folder on my bookmarks toolbar, nothing happens (color change or tooltip on hover, nor clicking) unless the mouse is at the very bottom edge of the button area, well below where the icon and text are. Is this happening to anyone else? I use the bookmarks toolbar heavily, so this is very annoying.

When I enter the first few digits of "amazon" the first suggestion is always "amazon.com". That would be nice were it not for the fact that, as a European, I don't have that much use for prices in dollars and imperial measurements. I have bookmarked "amazon.de" but due to alphabetical order .com always comes first. Naturally, I have tried to purge "amazon.com" from my bookmarks but I have been unable to find anything that I could delete. Thus, I am wondering whether anyone might know how this issue might be tackled and I would be much obliged if anyone could help.

I've had this site that i have no recollection of visiting always there, pinned at the top of my search suggestions but i never bothered with it, till today when i decided to remove it.

I tried all the things i can think of and searched for a solution to no avail, any help is appreciated.

Hi, I've had Firefox 64 bit running on Windows for a while and recently was given a newer machine where I installed a newer version of the OS. I put the old HDD's as slaves in this new machine. So the old FF is in the slave machine.

I have also installed new Firefox on this new Win10 LTSC, but when I go looking in my now slave HDD I can see FF, but cannot see any bookmarks. Additionally, when I run the FF executable in the old HDD it still runs the new FF, without the old bookmarks.

So how can I extract the old bookmarks on the older FF? Without withdrawing the now slave HDD and making it a master again? As it's now missing most of the OS files too.

The previous solution as outlined in https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1361785 no longer works. The checkbox it describes no longer appears at the bottom of the Edit Bookmark dialog. So what now?

I have had to create a new Firefox on one of my computers. I have imported my bookmarks, but there appears to be no way to import the Bookmark Toolbar. This is tiresome. So I wonder if I can use Sync to do the job? My Bookmark Toolbar exists on my other PC. Is it safe simply to use Sync to do the job of importing the Bookmark Toolbar to my new Firefox? I use Windows 10.

Sometimes I want to know which bookmark folder I've saved a particular bookmark in. I don't necessarily want to go to that site, I just want to know where I've saved it. The options provided do not include which folder it's in. The list offered is: name, tags, location, most recent visit date, visit count, added, last modified. How can I which folder I put it in?

I export all my passwords to usb, went to other computer and ........................... needed a 2e browser (edge) to import them?? How to import passwords from usb-stick to firefox? Is this even possible? i cannot find anything to import them.!

Hello All, I recently had to start up my brand new MacBook Pro up in "Safe Mode" to verify an unrelated problem. When I restarted my computer from safe mode, my Bookmarks were either gone completely or "empty" and I was apparently in a newer version of Firefox. I then trashed my Firefox application and tried to restore an older version via Time Machine and after I copy it to my Applications folder I get the message that I am trying to open an older version of firefox and then doesn't allow me to do that. When I followed the option to their extents, only the new version with NO bookmarks shows up.

How can I get my old bookmarks back?
