Is there anyway to force actual mozilla pages to be displayed in a dark mode instead of the blinding white background that hurts my eyes to view ? Thanks, David

As title. Installed the latest update as soon as i came out. I get the "Welcome to Firefox" tab and the 2nd tab "Firefox Privacy Notice" opened.

The 1st "Welcome" tab, has the box and buttons asking me to import old setting and all that jazz. I have down in quiet a few times and nothing is taken root. I have went through the process of installing all my old addons and extensions, I am not sure how many times, as I use them every time I open my browser to watch Twitch or Youtube, Beyond 20, and what have you. And of course it keeps resetting my toolbar and the bookmarks and settings on my homepage.

I thought at first, it might be buggy and after a day or two it would get fixed an updated. But alas, nothing thus far and this is forcing me to use other craptastic browsers I rather not even have installed on my system.

I have refreshed Firefox a time or two, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I am afraid to completely wipe it out, as I do not want to lose my bookmarks, passwords, and other saved information, that I probably should not have saved but I do because my memory is "teh suck".

I would appreciate any insight on how tor resolve this issue.

Suddenly Firefox is downloading my downloads to google drive. Why? I want them in my download directory, but changing the options in Settings/General/Download makes no difference. It is set to ask where a file should go, but does not. It is set to ask whether to open or save a file and it does not!

How can I get google drive out of this and save them to my desktop again?

I switched to using Firefox about six weeks ago, from Chrome. At first, it all worked perfectly. Now, I have a 100% reproducable problem: YouTube "short" videos never play. It will display the video player in the proper aspect ratio, and displays the overlayed text from the video's thumbnail and other meta data, but the actual playing of the video fails with a message typically like:

An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: C8SVj-KCLVM2m_DW)

Windows 11, current patched. on serious Core I9 system with 32 GB of ram, fast video card, etc.

Regular YouTube videos display perfectly. Using Google Chrome browser works perfectly.

The help message talks about clearing cache, but I can't seem to find that. I can see how to delete site-specific cookies and data. I really don't want to clear all cookies for all sites.

Since the last Firefox update I can login in my outlook email-program, but after login the screen remains blank. In my banking account I can do transfers, but if I want to download a receipt (what earlier always was function properly) the screen remains blank.

I am using light visual mode. Whenever I am viewing a dark image, e.g. a relatively dark photo in a newspaper article, this darkens the entire page, including the menu/bar area. This happens as the dark image is scrolled to become visible. Normal bright views are restored once the dark image is out of view. And similarly my youtube music page, which has a black background, is horribly black now. I a musing windows11. Thanks.

Hello there. Over the past few days iv had some problems while using twitch.tv . Im not able to use the chat because it says "failed to load module" .

At first i assumed this was twitch, so i tried chrome but its fine completely fine, there's no failed to load module error

I then deleted my cookies and cache but the error still persists. Its also fine when using the private/incognito mode.

Im on the latest version as well

How to use FireFox as incognito without sending my identification tracking information? I have read a bunch of information about privacy with Mozilla and am quite confused.

I would like instructions that are simple to understand and implement.

I have heard that when some airlines know that you are looking for tickets ... the ticket prices are increased when you go to their website over time and time again.

Over the past several days, Firefox has been randomly shutting down. When reopened, my previous tabs have disappeared. While setting up my laptop on a docking station today, I had to reboot several times. Every time it reopened my previously opened tabs are gone. Yes, I have Settings set to re-open Firefox with previously opened tabs. It has worked beautifully for me for years. Does anyone know what is going on? What I can do?

Although listed as one of the options for default language, the current version of Firefox, which is my default browser, does not accept Brazilian Portuguese as the default language. It only accepts the Portuguese version, from Portugal which, to me, who speak Brazilian Portuguese, with all due respect, is a pain in the butt. I have tried, dozens of times, to delete the Portuguese version and set the Brazilian version as the default language. It works until I shut down the computer. The next time I turn on the computer, to my eternal dismay, Firefox cancels my previous language setting and reverts itself to the damn Portuguese version, which I dislike to the extreme.So I am, hereby, taking the issue to you with high hopes that this abdomally be straightened out once and forever. My facebook account keeps getting double logins and ip4 logins rather than ip6 addresses. I think my ex-employer has installed a certificate into firefox on my laptop. I know absolutely nothing about certificates and have never knowingly installed one into my firefox web browser. But after looking I seem to have a certificate, is this certificate something that is allowing someone else access to what I view on my browser or allowing access to my cookies? Would users normally have their own firefox user certificate installed that they are unable to remove with a year on the date? I have added 2 screenshots. Somehow, my desktop started showing a beautiful scenic picture, that it changes several times per day. I can right click and get more information about the picture, but I find no way to turn this off. It not only is distracting, but often the lack of contrast make folders on my desktop hard to read.

I have an mp4 (h264 AAC) video of 37MB which plays acceptably from my website in Safari, Chrome and Edge, but when played in Firefox (my default browser) the sound and picture synch is significantly seperated. When the video is compressed to 26MB it suffers some expected loss of sound quality but plays with near perfect lip synch. What is the issue with playback ?

I'm on OS Windows 11 and the latest version of FF (133). I also use NordVPN; I can access the web via Edge and Chrome with VPN, but for the last month, it doesn't work with FF. What could be the problem?

The latest update caused an edit I made to my Profile's userChrome.css file to be nullified. Now there's huge bar where the tabs toolbar used to be, and apparently it's not the title bar, as when I activate the title bar in "Customize Toolbar," this huge gets replaced by the actual toolbar.

I've attached my css code below for inspection. It used to work perfectly, but after the last update (133.0) it's no longer working. What can I do to fix this and have it like I had it prior to the latest update (133.0)?

My laptop (a Lenovo Ideapad220s) did an automatic Windows 11 update (I believe it was the 2H24 update). After that Firefox (version 133, 64 bit) would only open with the message "Gah. Your tab just crashed". Nothing I tried has worked, not any of the remedies found in support pages. I somehow did a Firefox software update and it shows as a separate icon and has not migrated any of the passwords and bookmarks I had in the software version that keeps crashing (my default browser). Trying to get access to the encrypted passwords to the many sites I've got with Firefox I opened the browser in troubleshooting mode. In this mode I have access to all the passwords saved over time, and the browser seems to work fine.

Any suggestions on what I need to fix or if this is related to the Windows update? I'd like not to have to go through the two-step process to use the browser.
