So I just noticed an odd thing today. In the URL bar there is a new icon listed as 'add to taskbar' and 'toggle reader view'. The former interests me more than the latter. I get the idea behind it, but it's not really for me. Is there a way to remove these from the URL bar? I looked in settings, but didn't see anything. So if it's not there, I'm guessing it needs to be fixed in about:config? If so, where do i look for these?

I am so tired of the stupid banner popping up every time I put something into full screen, that says "press escape to exit full screen".

Is there a way to disable that?

I am on a windows 10 PC.

I want to know what should I change to change between these two appearances. I tried to change everything with `browser.search` in about:config, but I don't see anything that changed it.

I have a chromebook with linux enabled and installed firefox according to mozilla's instruction - via the sudo get-apt command. The cursor changes from the default to a very small adwaita. I've spent hours googling this issue and everyone I've come across had used some third party repo or was trying to shove in their own custom cursor theme. Literally all I want is my regular cursor back, and I have no clue why mozilla would have a specifically set cursor for their browser instead of just having it default to os. I don't really know what I'm doing here, but I cannot begin to state how tired I am of messing with this dead-end issue.

After a recent update, the bookmarks menu changed—when you click a certain line, it glows bright blue. I understand this is for ease of use while using bookmarks, but I'm used to leaving this menu open all the time, and after these changes, the blue glow is very distracting.

In light of this, I'd really like to know how to restore the old display, or, if that's not possible, I'd like to see special personalization settings for this type of thing in future updates.

Is there a way to change the size of the sections in Firefox? For instance, I don't need so much space for the listings of Inbox, Sent etc. or the Tabs but would like to have more space for the web pages themselves. I ask because I've got a sight impediment and have to increase the text size. This means that the web "window" (Sorry, don't know the correct terminology) is so big that I have to scroll down to see it.

After the 145.0 update when I start Firefox both the menu bar and the top bar with the exit icon are missing. This is the first issue I've had since using Firefox when the new revision was in the 20's. Per some quick Support research, I press F 11 twice (NOT once) to restore the screen to include the top bar with exit icon and menu bar with my Windows task bar showing (as normal for the past 2 decades). When I close out Firefox in less than full screen mode and then start up Firefox again, it properly includes both the top bar with exit icon and the menu bar. HOWEVER, if I close Firefox in full screen and then restart, I am missing the top icon bar and menu bar... again. Press F11 twice and the bars are back to square one. HOW DO I FIX THIS SO I DON'T HAVE TO PRESS F11 TWICE ON EVERY STARTUP TO RESTORE MY SCREEN?????? WHY DID YOUR RECENT UPDATE CHANGE MY SCREEN SETTINGS?????

Hi everyone, since the last update all of the text in my Bookmarks side bar has changed to white against a light grey background, making it virtualy unreadable (image attached). I didn't change it and have no idea how to change it to another colour and make it visible.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using W11 & Firefox/Mozilla 'Version 146.0 (64-bit)' in ‘Dark Theme’ - my sidebar bookmark in use is now 'highlighted in BRIGHT blue' which is VERY ANNOYING - can I get rid of this feature? Is there a way to adjust the highlight color/intensity? Please let me know. If there is no adjustment possible, please take care of this in your next version. Thanks, John

Google told me to go to About.Config, find "browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIcon" then change the value to false. But, at least in my version of FF, that doesn't work because browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIcon isn't listed. I'm running 142.0.01.

I know FF is trying to please all the wonderful teenagers who want to constantly screw around with software settings. But it would be really nice if such new "features" were not turned on automatically.

How do I minimize the web page when I don't see the usual icon at the top of the page. Now, I've attached a screen shot that does not show any icon of other means of minimizing that screen. I'm running Windows 11 and WORD 2021.

The screen appears on Opera and Google Chrome with the icons. Thanks.

In the past month any browsing window I use suddenly goes to full screen and I have to manually reset it by resizing it. Why does this auto-full sizing occur? I can not find a setting that allows this. I just want any screen window I have to stay the way I set it.
