I tried import all of Google Chrome's history into firefox using the import feature, but not all the history was imported.
In about:config I modified "browser.migrate.chrome.history.limit" and "browser.migrate.history.maxAgeInDays", and it didn't work, actually nothing at all was getting imported after modifying these values.

I am evaluating a password manager application and exported my FF passwords and imported them into the app. For testing I removed all of the passwords from FF. I want to password protect the csv file rather than delete it in case I need to import the passwords back into FF. When I go to File/Info, the "Protect Workbook" option is greyed out. When I go to the "Review" tab, the option to "Protect Workbook" is available, not the "Unprotect" option, so the workbook is not protected. If I click on the "Share" folder on the right side of the ribbon, there is no "More" option. In Windows Explorer the file is on my desktop, not OneDrive - Personal. I right clicked on the file, selected "Give access to" and took the option to remove access. The File/Info option is still greyed out. How can I password protect this file or how can I export it in a format that can be imported later?
Firefox is not switching my payments methods from Google Chrome.

I have one computer. I use Chrome for work stuff. I use Firefox for personal stuff. I installed the new Firefox as I was supposed to, and it closed all my tabs. I usually have the option to restore my previous session, but not this time. So I started going back through my history (grrrrr....) and my history is full of all the sites/tabs I visited with Chrome. I DO NOT want work stuff mixing with my personal stuff. Besides the fact that it is making it harder for me to restore my lost tabs, there is a reason I have two different browsers. I wish Firebox weren't trying to change my organizational scheme. I DO NOT WANT FIREFOX TO IMPORT HISTORY OR BOOKMARKS FROM CHROME. How do I turn this off?

this is supposed to have a QR code, but it does not load. I have attached a still screenshot below.
I also cannot upload images using Firefox to Messenger. The large purple image is a result of an upload, but it should be a picture of a woman saved from Krita.
I tried a setting called "Refresh Firefox" and that fixed it but only for less than a day. whats going on?

Hi,
This is not a question, but rather an observation. When I imported passwords from Chrome (Version 134.0.6998.89 (Official Build) (64-bit)) to Firefox (136.0.1 (64-bit)) one of the passwords was incorrectly imported from Chrome. One of my passwords contains an exclamation mark (!) at the end, and this mark was cut off when I imported it. For example. Password in Chrome: password123! Password in Firefox: password123

Hi,
As I'm trying Firefox, it seems I cannot import the bookmarks from Chrome. Tried both the bookmark library (import) and the Settings -> Import Browser Data -> Import, same results. Everything else seems to be there, except the bookmarks, which is a show stopper.
Edge was able to import the Chrome bookmarks - So I also tried to import from Edge, no go.
I'm on Firefox 136 (latest) and Chrome 133.0.6943.143
Any suggestions?

As long as I have legitimate antimalware running, even with exceptions added for firefox, almost every single page comes up with one of the unique-to-firefox security errors rendering it practically useless. And the recommendation is to disable my antimalware? This is not an acceptable solution. I certainly don't trust Firefox to call the shots regarding my security over a reputable antimalware company. Especially when firefox is the only browser that has a problem. If you're going to to make yourself useless, you might as well let me access a page with a valid certificate and signature. Can we have an option to turn off your faulty security measures please?

I have used Firefox for many years without opening a Firefox account and have accumulated many bookmarks. My computer has just had its operating system and solid state hard drive replaced and all of the old files and data transferred to the newly installed hard drive. I just now opened a Firefox account so I could ask the question about how I might recover the bookmarks and load them in Firefox. After reading some of your support pages it seems likely that the bookmark file was transferred into the new operating system. I would like to find out how these old bookmarks can be loaded to the Firefox program now loaded onto my computer.

I have followed all of the on line instructions to move/copy Bookmarks from Firefox Nightly (current version as of 20February025) to regular Firefox browser. Both are running on same machine. Nightly install is also running Firefox ad blockers. Following all of the instructions on line I can find to accomplish, but cannot move book marks to Firefox. Have copied bookmarks from Firefox Nightly as HTML file to stand alone device but unable to get the bookmarks to import from stand alone device into Firefox. Assistance please.
