Hi, asking on behalf of my friend who is paranoid that he now has adware.
He has the default firefox homepage setup with the 'recommended stories' enabled. He noticed that on one occasion it had a banner ad in between the recommended stories redirecting to an affinity.net link. He has ublock origin.
He even made a mockup of what it looked like, attached the image.
I couldn't actually replicate this on my end, are these official mozilla ads?
Please note that the data on the home page are vastly out of kilter: pictures do not match headlines and hyperlinks do not take you to the story summarized.

I want to get rid of all of them and if there's a setting to stop them showing up in the first place I'd use it.

I copied the FF URL and made a shortcut to the website and it STILL does not work!

Why is this not balanced or allowing to show the side you lean more towards? I have also clicked some of them and read them but they are on sites that are pay to view, pay to comment, or just closed to comment so I would like to avoid them. Thank you for all you do! Scott
