I reinstalled windows yesterday. When I installed firefox and signed it, everything was fine. However, this morning, it seems to have removed 80% of my bookmarks. When I try to restore from the bookmarks yesterday, it just gives me the ones that I have this morning. I had tons and tons of resource bookmarks for my work that would be almost impossible to re-find in some cases due to the current state of search engines. Is there any way to salvage them? It seems like sync believes they never existed, but it DID sync them yesterday??? Please help.

Hi, I have multiple devices using firefox , all these apps have around 500 tabs open in background, they are listed in firefox's tabs from other devices on my pc but I want to save or backup them to the disk on my pc what is the workaround for it ?

When I open the Manage Bookmarks --> Import Bookmarks --> Browse I have no listed backups, even though I can see them in File Manager \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\c4i4a2zg.default\bookmarkbackups folder. I have copied the JSON file from my laptop which has not lost them but cannot select a folder/file location to import them, same for doing it via a HTML file.

I am stuck, thinking I may have to uninstall and then reinstall Firefox and then sync again.

Hi! I need some troubleshooting help. Idk what happened, but I think it was a syncing issue in between the two browsers. I just plan on using just Firefox to hopefully prevent this bug in the future.

I originally have bookmark folders on my toolbar, but when I checked, the old folders were gone. Though everything in them was still in my toolbar, so it's a reaaally long "Show more bookmarks" drop down list. But when I check "Manage Bookmarks", the folders are still there. I tried exporting and re-importing the bookmarks but it didn't work. Here are some screenshots attached. Help?

Edit: After checking, it turns out my "manage bookmars" and toolbar are the same. My folders and bookmarks are there, but for some reason the contents are outside the folders. Is there a fix for this and how to prevent it?

I'll be moving from an old Windows 10 machine to a new Windows 11 machine. Does that count as "a different location",

...or does "a different location" refer simply to a nonstandard path?

I plan to put the data in the default location on the new machine.

Is there a way I could download all of my bookmarks as a .csv file so I can remove all of the duplicates and delete all of the outdated links? When I moved bookmarks from previous laptops I inherited links from several browsers. Now I have a bunch of redundant junk clogging up my Firefox. Thank you.

Hello, I just tried to import bookmarks to Firefox, however they're not appearing on the title bar?

I imported bookmarks to desktop Firefox 134.0.1 (aarch64) on raspberrypios - 1.0, but the title bar only shows Import Bookmarks... and the imported bookmarks are located in Library -> All Bookmarks -> Bookmarks Toolbar/Bookmarks Menu -> Mozilla Firefox -> Imported Bookmark.

On Galaxy 23 Ultra using Android 14 & Ui 6.1 w/ Firefox, my Bookmarks disappeared. How do I get them back? Tried about:profiles, but nothing comes up. Recently due screen going haywire, phone was reset & the shop left me with Google, which I hate. Have been things getting back to Firefox I've used for years. Not sure if lost then. Bookmarks screen/setup I get, must be Google's, because it's not like FF's. I have Samsung & Google backups, but didn't realize Bookmarks were not put in them. Phone & apps are kept updated. FYI if it matters: Due to storm damage, I'm without a computer that might help. Help, pls. I'd be very appreciative.

I lost 100+ tabs that I've been using for a couple years after an automatic update. Followed the steps found here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup with no luck. Is there another method?

Any pointers on disabling automatic updates would be appreciated, too.
