I'm listening music from youtube and playing Guild Wars 2 in the same time. Tell me pls bc I think it's unnormal, why I see in task manager that Firefox is opened 12-17 times?...

Hi, I’ve been experiencing slow startup times in Firefox, especially when I have my Time calculator web app open. The browser takes longer to load and sometimes becomes unresponsive.

I’ve tried disabling extensions and changing my home page, but the issue persists. Are there any specific settings or troubleshooting steps in Firefox that can help improve performance when using online calculators like this?

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A couple days ago, some weird issues have started:

• All my bookmarks are gone
• Any of the buttons in the UI that open a smaller UI do not work (such as the 3 bar menu)
• Similarly, right clicking to open a menu (such as "Save Image") also does not work
• Any dropdown menus in websites seem to also not work. For example, in this very support page, I could not select an option in the "Which topic best describes your question?".

I can't restart and troubleshoot Firefox since I can't access the 3 bar menu.

Hi, I have 30 Firefox processes running and they are taking up ~2700 MB (84%) memory. I have 8GB installed memory. I'm running Win 11. What causes processes to run and how do I know which ones I can end?

I often keep many tabs open for research, and Firefox memory usage grows significantly over time. Are there practical settings or habits that help manage memory without sacrificing usability?

Firefox has been using more RAM and CPU on my system recently, especially with only a few tabs open. Is this expected behavior, or are there specific settings, extensions, or configurations I should check to improve performance?

this site at mlb.com or any site showing a live game eventually freezes up and cannot be closed normally. task manager or re-boot is only way out, starting over with a new instance of firefox after ending all firefoxes.

this has been happening just this past few days, after firefox updated to 143.0 on windows 11 using defender, no other screwed up security software.

firefox needs to fix this, it is not likely anything with the site but rather with firefox latest update, as this has always worked before on this same computer.

Why does Firefox's hardware usage, especially memory (RAM) and battery consumption, have to be so high that the laptop fan noise causes a lot of noise in the environment? Windows 11 25H2

OS: Linux Recently, firefox has been annoying me with not closing a tab when I click the X like normal. I have to right click and close it, or press ctrl w. I am unable to move tabs around, as well. I am not sure since when this next bit has been happening, but I am also unable to interact with many elements of the top bar. The only thing of the firefox ui besides the websites themselves that let me interact with them at the moment is the home button, the new tab button, bookmarked sites, and that box icon on the left corner that lets you look at previously closed tabs. My Firefox's version should around, I believe it is 140.5.0 ESR. Thank you in advance. Update: Upon a restart of firefox, it appears to be working again as normal.. However, the bit with tabs not closing when the X is clicked and not being able to move tabs around has been happening multiple previous times, and it may come back. Update again: The issue does come back after some usage. I'm using KDE plasma with Wayland. I will try what the answer asked, and come back later. Update: This seems to happen very randomly and is not reproducible for me.. It will go a few days being fine, then randomly freeze again. Has not happened under another user, at least not yet.

opening firefox why is it blank page. When I open up FireFox the page is Blanck the account tab top right dosent work nothing works no search just blank page why is that. Yesterday it was fine worked

For those of us that do want to use AI for work performance enhancement purposes, I have a question and also a comment for the Development Team. Here is the scenario real quick. I use Mozilla Firefox as my trusted browser today and that means that I open other AI systems such as ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc. within this browser and could at times be running multiple browser sessions at the same time. My question is, will the Mozilla new AI Features attempt to try and compete with my other chat sessions for data capture, response and participation if I keep portions or the whole system enabled? The last thing I need is Mozilla AI as the selected browser now interfering with my other work flow processes in anyway including just listening along which would significantly increase the amount of resources used to run the Mozilla AI in parallel with other AI systems on my computer. I have heavy work loads at times and am already experiencing browser delays in processing data (even when setting up separate project chats for specific tasks) because of too many added features within all of the AI systems like historical chat session quick links on the right side of the screen. That's a ton of data that ends up getting stored/cached, referenced and processed with each command executed. I don't mind using Mozilla AI within the browser for general personal surfing and Q&A purposes but I can see this potentially becoming a big issue for us creators working with large image data processing tasks in other AI systems via the Mozilla browser. I will unfortunately be turning all of these Mozilla AI features off to start because I am not sure there really is a clear separation path for resource allocations within the browser now keeping my experience fast and efficient. Most likely this will force me into using a different browser product for personal vs business until things are much clearer. Hoping to learn a little bit here and see that things like this are being taken into consideration, even if it is a product roadmap enhancement for release sometime in the near future. The minimize, maximize, close line at the top of the screen is missing when Firefox opens. If I click the Firefox icon in the task manager to minimize it and click it again to maximize it, then the missing line at the top appears. This has been an ongoing glitch for a week or more. Perhaps you can fix this minor problem?

Recently, Firefox has been becoming unresponsive quite often, and the Activity Monitor shows significantly high memory usage. For context, I typically have two Firefox windows running simultaneously, with approximately 5 tabs open in each window (10 tabs total). This is when I notice the performance degradation and high memory usage.

• A screenshot of the extensions currently enabled in Firefox.

I am open to suggestions, such as disabling or removing certain extensions if they might be causing conflicts. However, I wanted to report this issue first to understand if this is a known problem or if there are optimizations planned for Firefox on Apple Silicon Macs.

When i start fire fox it immediately opens 10 additional versions in the background which I can see in task manager and they take up a lot off memory. If i end task them they immediately come back. This only started recently. I noticed it because now when i open say a youtube video it shows it as number 4. This never happened before unless I had the same video open more than once.

If I can not stop this I will have to uninstall.
