I noticed recently that my 'Add Shortcut' button has disappeared. I've been through other articles and they were of no help. I have 4 rows selected for shortcuts so theres no reason for it to be gone.

When I logged in this morning my bookmarks toolbar was gone, along with the favorite start. I have googled and followed support articles and the only thing I was able to do is get the menu bar to show along with the the bookmark menu but customizing the toolbar.

I opened Firefox today to find that nothing would show up, at first I tried clicking on the icon on the taskbar, but it just made the icon bounce with the window briefly popping into view. That's when I realized that Firefox was completely offscreen and unusable.

For context, last night, I had 3 windows open, two were regular sessions, the last one was a private session I had open on a temporary second monitor that I unplugged afterward. My dad lended it to me, so I'd rather not ask him again unless I absolutely have to. I closed them in order making sure to close the default window last thinking that Firefox would open there next time I launch it, but comes tomorrow and when I launch Firefox it opens off-screen and I can't interact with the window at all.

So, I'm commenting here via brave browser, first to report a bug because I don't think Firefox should remember the last position of a private window of all things, but also because I don't know where else to go to ask that question since windows 11 itself cannot seem to have an option to solve this problem either. I know the position is stored in the profile folder, so what should I edit in there to get Firefox back where it should be? No, I will not delete/reset it it has a ton of search engines and settings that Firefox won't sync.

How can I turn this message off?

We are running Firefox in kiosk mode in the browser (on a Windows 11 PC), and they are logging into an HTTP site using a touch screen, but when they click into the username box, they sometimes miss touch where to enter this username and instead touch the link mentioned in the message. This then takes them to the Mozilla homepage, but because it is running in kiosk mode, they are unable to navigate back, and they are prevented from closing and restarting Firefox. This is why we need to turn the message off.

After exporting bookmarks.html from Ffox on old computer, importing it to Ffox on the new one, all good, except that bookmarks toolbar shows on the imported list but doesn't display as toolbar.

cleaning up my computer, I accidentally deleted firefox. I had a list of favourite links, and I lost them. Is there any way of recovering my list of favourites?

When using DuckDuckGo Search I cannot drag and drop the search URL into my Bookmarks. I can drag and drop a Google Chrome search URL into my Bookmarks as usual. Also, the correct URL is not shown for the search using DuckDuckGo. See attached screenshot.

The latest update 141.0 (64-bit) has changed my default save location from g.drive to users//downloads. How do I change it back to g.drive? I use Firefox synced between 2 computers (1 desktop and 1 laptop). I use google drive so that I can access the same information on both devices. I NEED screenshots to be saved in a specific folder in g.drive. How do I do this. Before this update, there was not this issue. Thanks in advance.

My browser has been hacked by searchingswift.com, I've read all the article's I can find on getting rid of it with no luck. I've completely uninstalled everything including the mistake that brought it in (Coverseen miss pick file), but no luck.

Here's what I get after a complete reinstall and deleting any Firefox stuff I can find.

Windows 11 and New Firefox

Hi Please could someone help me re-order my firefox toolbars. Previously I managed to arrange them in the order I prefer, but an update seems to have destroyed the order again, and I can no longer find the web page which explained how to do it. reading from the top, I would like to see: • Title bar • Menu bar • Navigation toolbar • Bookmarks toolbar • Tabs toolbar • Web content area

Instead I have • Title bar • Menu bar • Tabs toolbar • Navigation toolbar • Bookmarks toolbar (I even seem to have lost this now and don't know how to get it back!) • Web content area Thanks for any help that can be provided. Brox

There are many tabs open in the firefox window. I'm closing the firefox. I'm opening it again.All tabs opened during the previous opening disappear.Either a new page or a single tab opens. The settings are set to "Open previous windows and tabs" (Image 1)

I go to "Firefox View" ---"Open tabs". (image 2) I see 2-5 windows there.In this case, there are 3 windows.WINDOW 1 is my main window with the tabs that should have been saved and opened when firefox was launched again. I close all tabs from unnecessary windows with a cross.Only window 1 remains. But when restarting, an empty or different window opens again.And again, there are a lot of unnecessary and incomprehensible windows on the list. Previously, a window with restored tabs from the previous session always opened. I got a new Windows 11 Dell XPS laptop computer and installed the latest Firefox (v133) on it. On my old computer, it was supposedly syncing/saving the bookmarks in the Mozilla cloud or somewhere. However when I try "Import" on the bookmarks panel, it only offers to import Microsoft Edge bookmarks. When I follow the help docs on this forum, it says to use the hamburger menu to go to bookmarks and then to "Manage Bookmarks" which took me a while to find since it's at the very far bottom of the Bookmarks window, not near the three menu items at the top. Anyway, it brings up a window with more bookmark items but they all seem to deal with my current computer and installation of Firefox, which has only a very few default bookmarks. I do not see anything related to bookmarks synced with the cloud. I am logged into Mozilla on the new computer. I do not have an HTML backup file available, since I thought that the bookmarks would be backed up to the cloud and I could always get them there. Two questions:

1. 1: Is it possible to get my old bookmarks from the cloud?

1. 2: Is the bookmarks have not been exported to an HTML file, is it somehow able to get them from someplace on the C drive of my old computer? I think it should be possible since the bookmarks must be saved somewhere otherwise, how would it know what the bookmarks are for someone who never exported them to an HTML file? My old computer won't boot due to a power surge but I am able to connect it's hard drive to my new computer and see files on it.

I've been having an issue of, whenever I tab into Firefox from a different application on my computer, the alt menu opens. Firefox seems to be interpreting me opening the program as pressing the alt key, because even when I have the menu bar set to always be open, the input immediately goes to the "File" dropdown option of the menu, just as it would if I pressed the alt key. However, I tried to troubleshoot this by 1. opening a program that tracks keyboard inputs and that didn't show such a thing happening, and 2. I checked if this issue was happening with other applications that have switch the input to the upper menu bar when the alt key is pressed, and that was not the case. This is making it a lot harder to use Firefox, as using a keyboard shortcut to open a new window (ctrl+shift+p, or ctrl+i) while in a normal Firefox tab, it will not automatically open to the new window (as it is set to do automatically), it will also not let me open the new window -- either by alt-tabbing or by clicking the new window on the windows taskbar -- and instead reopens the alt menu and sets the input to that menu, locking me to the original Firefox page unless I tab into a completely different application and then into the new window. This issue also makes me unable to input key commands or text into my active tab immediately when I reopen it, instead forcing me to close the alt menu first either or clicking somewhere on the page. And since I don't keep the alt menu visible at all times, this forces the screen to shift up and down jarringly when I'm simply trying to use the computer.

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 11 computer. I've tried refreshing Firefox and have tried my absolute best to find articles related to this issue but to no luck. Thanks for any help or advice!
