Before I took my computer to a repair facility and had to reinstall Firefox, my recent activity bar had all the websites I use and wanted quick access to along one lovely line. Now I have a bunch of "suggested" crap Firefox must be getting paid for along my recent activity bar. I've never visited these pages and selecting the menu trying to dismiss them doesn't work. How do I eliminate the sponsored sites and get what I want along the recent activity bar?

There are two suggestions (or questions if I simply cannot find these): - as the default behaviour of the browser, I want to be able to only see websites from Europe. However, when I am trying to use it in firefox as my Start Page, it opens all of these in separate tabs and it does not work. Also as far as I understand using the link is not possible for new tabs.

The reason is simple. For example, when looking for cooking recipes, pages from the USA use strange units that cannot be understood and there is no point in translating each of these manually as all recipes are available in million of versions - it is just a matter of clicks. But I don't want to waste time each time on checking the websites one by one; if the cooking website is from Europe, the units will be of a standard and I don't have to worry. It is the same in relation to many products of any kind. European and American markets are completely different and reading description of something only to find out at the end that it is only available in the USA is waste of time.

- it should be possible in firefox to block some websites or portals by some button. I know that there is an add-on for this but it is only for 10 pages or so, so in reality it is not very useful. It also only works in the way that the page won't open when clicked on. However, it would be much better if unwanted portals or websites were simply removed from search results.

There are too many fake websites nowadays providing incorrect or misleading information. If it happens that I come across one of these, I want to be doing that only once - and block them forever.

I am currently creating a website in WordPress. It has many embedded YouTube videos.

On pages with embedded YouTube videos, in order to go back to the previous page, I have to click the Back button multiple times. If I right-click on the back button, I see that the page I am currently on has been listed multiple times.

Many other support questions list this issue. I have found that if I disable "Site Isolation" (URL about:config -> set fission.autostart to false -> restart Firefox), the issue goes away.

I am interested, however, in the user experience for those who will go to my site. Is there anything I can do so that "Site Isolation" does not cause this problem?

Good day, A month ago my system froze. Firefox re-loaded and went back to a clean install with none of my settings saved. Managed to get it back to where I had it before with one exception: All of a sudden, when I try to log into certain web pages, even Amazon, I get this message:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.amazon.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

However, if I log into the website using a VPN, I have no problem! Help! Thank you VERY MUCH! Pietro

I used to sign in to my credit card through Elan Financial Services and then I would highlight my credit card, tell it the date range I needed to update to Quicken, and hit enter. a popup would give me the option of opening the file or to save the quicken file to my computer. I would select the option to open the file and it would update my register on Quicken. Now, I only get the option to save the file to my computer. On Microsoft Edge, I still get the choice to open or save the file. Why doesn't Firefox support the Open Function anymore. I use Firefox for everything, but now I have to remember to switch to Edge for this one important update. Is this a change in Firefox or something I have to deal with Elan on? mazdausa.com won't fully display. I just updated to version 100 (woohoo) and tried looking in troubleshooting mode, still no luck. The middle of the page where the car (picture) is supposed to show up is blank. The rest of the site loads.

suddenly Firefox is blocking my entry to a specific site with the measage "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." I have tried umpteen ways around this to no avail. Google Chrome does not have this problem!! I am using version 100.0.2

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. I couldn't find any email address so I can address my concern directly, It's why I am posting here. Please help, I am so lost now. The "Latest Tweets" header on twitter has recently started automatically scrolling and blocking whatever is shown on screen.

If I try to tweet, the screen appears to split and it is not possible to see the actual Tweet edit and post screen and the screen locks not able to move up or down.

This has only started in the past few days.

Can you help me to disable to scrolling of the sticky header?

I am sick of the unannounced updates that occur without prompting me. Edge doesn't do this and I'm fed up with Mozilla unannounced updates. Going to uninstall Firefox because of unannounced updates.

Hi, I need to update my credit card details for my monthly donation to Mozilla but I cn't find out how to do it. I can't find a way from my Firefox user account to do it. Clicking on the only link I can find to Donate just throws a 403 error. Clicking on a link to help for Mozilla Donate does the same thing. Please email me advise how I can do this. Thanks, Andrew

Why do I keep getting this message from my A/V software (Bitdefender): firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to si1.lunrac.com?

I got mad at a website that wouldn't let me right click menu to save pictures, so I stubbornly saved them via less efficient means, in the process I picked up the Long Screenshot extension and this had an error shortly before or after I had an issue with Lightshot not appearing, other extensions did not appear either when I added them during this time period, but now these all appear with the exception of Lightshot, which gets deleted and reinstalled only to not appear, that of course being the problem, though I will also say that a right click menu not being there is like reaching onto my computer and pulling my finger away, sites that do that should be given the cold shoulder somehow, at least.

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. I mistakenly blocked a website that I use all the time this morning. I am not getting a big red exclamation point and it says Restricted Access. I need to regain access to this site as I use it daily for business. Help! Thanks.

I was just updated to version 100 and now the background in the sites I visit, ebay for example, are totally black where they used to be white. I've set my firefox theme to "light" as recommended in another thread, restarted my computer, but to no avail. I now have a light background/black letter tab bar but every site is black where it used to be white. Thanks for a simple answer, I'm not highly technically skilled.

I go to Norton, sign in, then go to another sigh-in button and the screen just flashes. Click it several times and just see the screen flash. Norton logged in remotely and went through some hoops but they came up with the same thing. Cleared the cache, history, no-go. They tell me that is is a problem with Firefox and not them. (and recommended an expensive organization to get help from) This is a computer I just reset to factory and reinstalled completely. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would like to stop the default behavior of firefox displaying in the tab that contains my GMail how many unread GMail messages there are -- in other words to delete "(9)" from the attached photo and never have the count displayed -- if it could instead simply say "Inbox - xxx@gmail.com"
