Hello! After upgrading Mozilla Firefox to version 86.0, the header and footer setup menu in the Page Setup section has disappeared. How can I change the header and footer content in the new version?

I have installed the dictionary for another language and when I right click the menu is there, however if I try to change the language it disappears. If I click again it's gone.

I have tried that if I disable UBlock Origin, the menu comes up, but I am not able to change language anyway. If I refresh, the menu disappears again.

Hello, I only figured it out today as I don't visit Facebook often. I don't have Facebook APP in my cell phone, as I don't want to. I only visit it when using notebook which has WIndows 10 and Firefox. It seems that the autoplay blocking configuration of Firefox is not working on Facebook Messenger web version. Videos keep autoplaying in a conversation, even though we don't want it and have it configured both in Firefox and even Facebook to be blocked. So, resuming, autoplay blocking doesn't work even though is selected in Firefox and Facebook. It happens the same in Edge. They might be using a different way to avoid the blocking definitions, both from Facebook and Firefox In Messenger Lite in Android and Messenger for Win10, autoplay blocking works fine. I reported to Facebook but I don't expect any answer from them as usual. If you could help it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Just a few days ago I was still using Firefox 84 where all fonts were displayed properly in the font select options.

After upgrading the browser to 85 (or 85.0.1/85.0.2 maybe), all fonts installed later in the system have disappeared from the selection list, and the selected option has become the default option.

Is there any way of customising the menus (such as context/right-click menus)so that they do not display any kind of icons?

For example the burger menu has icons for "Print" and other items.

This is inconsistent with my desktop environment (GNOME) and all of my other desktop apps (which follow the default GTK settings that disable such icons)

Another minor thing is underlining certain characters in those menus (for keyboard shortcuts, I think), for some of the items. This is another inconsistency which is also disabled system-wide by default in GNOME.

Is there some way of disabling these? Maybe an about:settings config that I didn't find yet?

I'm not looking for direct assistance, this is feedback. The feedback submission from within the browser is disabled by Mozilla.

When I have FF (85.0.2 x64, Win10) set to use a toolbar density of "Touch", this works for the toolbars themselves, but not the Bookmarks menu. See the attached screenshot. You can see that the toolbar elements are nicely spaced to make it easier for fingers and finger-simulating stilii, but the bookmarks menu is still densely packed.

The feedback is to have the toolbar spacing apply to the bookmarks menu too.

For controlling the behavior when openning an external link (from a different program) there is `browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external`. It can be configured to always open a new window, or always open a new tab in the last active window.

However, I use multiple virtual desktops on linux and when I open a link (from anywhere, really), I'd like it to be opened on the current virtual desktop but also in an existing window if there is one. It should almost be as if the firefox on each virtual desktop behaves independently for this purpose though I don't think actually doing that (one firefox instance per virtual desktop) would be a solution since I do need to move tabs/windows around fairly often as well.

Is there a way to do that with some settings?

I am on macOS Catalina and am trying to change the copy-paste combination on my keyboard from Command+C and Command+V to Control+C and Control+V, respectively.

Under Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts, I already have a copy-paste setting for 'All Applications', and it works on ALL applications I tested with (Google Chrome, Safari, Telegram, terminal emulators, etc.), EXCEPT on Firefox.

So then I tried to add a custom setting for Firefox.app. Copy works: I can CTRL+C in a firefox page and CTRL+V on another app. BUT CTRL+V does not work in Firefox itself -- the previous shortcut Command+V is what still works.

What should I do so that:

1. Numbered list itemFirefox will use the app shortcuts for 'All Applications' instead of having its own configuration (less important)
2. Bulleted list itemCTRL+V would work on Firefox? (more important)

My Firefox version is 85.0.2

Edit, additional info:

I followed the list of valid command names at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly?redirectslug=Keyboard+shortcuts&redirectlocale=en-US#w_bookmarks. Adding some of them to 'App Shortcut' works (such as New Tab, Close Tab, and Bookmark This Page), and some of them don't (such as Find in This Page and Find in This Page).

Address autofill simply does not fill in the street address line for nearly every site - all other lines are properly autofilled (First/Last name, city, state (works even withsome drop downs), phone, etc)

I've even created fake addresses with one or two lines of street address info, and it just never fills in the actual street address lines on sites (whether they have one or two street address lines etc).

What gives?

I've looked for hours on this issue, to no avail. I'm currently working on a kiosk setup and would like to use FF if possible. One hurtle that keeps cropping up is the error message "Firefox closed unexpectedly while starting".

Is there a way to disable this and any other dialogs that popup?

Recently I switched to Firefox from chrome.It is better than before.But it lacks some customizable features.Like I can't set a Firefox homepage wallpaper.It is the simplest thing every browser has.But I know that I can do so by setting a custom URL as home page.but I would literally like to have that feature in the default homepage.I don't know if any options are there or not,but it would be great.And the read aloud feature that is in chrome is also not available in Firefox.This is the feature i use a lot while reading books online. And these are the minor customizable features that I would like to have.

Hi everybody. For reasons I don't fully understand the Amazon search prompt on my copy of Firefox is for amazon.co.uk. I'd like to keep the search prompt but would much prefer to have my local website (amazon.it). I've fiddled a bit with settings but cannot find an option to modify the extension: is this possible?

We have multiple custom add-ons that we want to sign, and this error message is being received from the server:

status: 429 response: {"detail":"Request was throttled. Expected available in 60 seconds."}

Is there a way to bypass this?

I tried using both apis and had the same result: sign-addon web-ext

I think the title says it all: Can't add Firefox to Microsoft Focus Assist Feature (Windows 10)

I like this feature because it lets me disable notifications while filming or working on other projects but currently I cannot add Firefox to the priority list.

It may be a new feature to you (like it was to me) so here's the easiest way to access it.

Focus Assist (Right click on notifications Icon in bottom right corner) > Customize Priority List > Apps

I can add Google Chrome and other web browsers but not Firefox.

Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

Basically the only one showing up is uBlock origin, others show up as enabled when I go to the Manage your add-ons page, but not in the toolbar. I've tried resetting everything to default settings, updated every add-on, enabled history collection.. nothing has made a difference. Any tips would be very appreciated!

After Firefox updated to version 86 yesterday a couple of my users are being prompted to select what they would like Firefox to do with a PDF file each time they download one. They set it to open in Foxit Reader and checked the box to do it automatically each time but it always goes back to the default setting. I confirmed that the Application settings in Options is set to use Foxit Reader for PDFs and I even followed the troubleshooting step for this issue and renamed the handlers.json file.

Also each time they try to download a PDF a prompt comes up asking for an admin password (see the 3rd image). These computers are on a domain, so the UAC prompt isn't unusual but we don't restrict them from being able to download files. But I'm having the same issue as well and I'm not on the domain, so I think this is more of a symptom then a cause.

Is this a bug in the latest update? I was troubleshooting a printer setting issue for them the day before yesterday. Did some testing on my computer and theirs, got it worked out that Foxit works best for their needs when printing a PDF from a web app. Then yesterday afternoon they began to have issues where they couldn't print at all. I checked it out and all of our computers updated to Firefox v86 and everything is now working differently now in terms of handling PDFs.
