Previously, you could right click & copy an animated GIF from one site, and paste it into the comment field on another site. This would paste the full animated GIF into that comment section. It worked on all forums that support animated GIFs in comments.

It was very convenient to only have to copy a GIF, instead of having to manually save it in some folder, select upload image from computer, manually navigate to that folder, upload the GIF, open windows explorer, manually navigate to that GIF, delete that GIF.

Since 146.0 that no longer works on any site.

All you paste is a still image, taken the moment you right clicked the animated gif.

When I am scolling and the mouse hits an image, a large image preview appears. How on earth do I turn this off? I can see tab preview images to turn off but not this stupid image previre thing that covers everything I am trying to read or navigate on the web site.

Hello It is impossible to display the icons of certain applications since I used Firefox. This problem does not exist with Chromium browsers (Chrome Brave...) Thank you for your help

While taking screenshot of entire page or section within the page, taken screenshot resolution is of very low quality. As a result when shared the screenshot with someone using copy paste function or download and share option, in both methods screenshot image quality is very low making it very difficult to read data/text from the same. Text from the screenshot is barely in readable format. Even zooming the image distorts image totally. I want a way to increase screenshot resolution or improve its image quality so we can read easily without zoom or zooming the image file.

I have tried everything, even asked question the other day and got a wonderful response from someone, however nothing worked that he recommended. I have contacted Norton, who I use, Firefox which I use, and even QVC tech, who was able to get the written reviews to now be there, however I am still not able to view images. I have cleared everything as suggested, have checked firewalls, and list goes on and on and QVC site is not having a problem as my friend, can access reviewers pictures/images and she uses Firefox and windows 11 also.. Thank you in advice..

I started to have this problem within the last few days. Selecting "Open image in new tab" opens a new tab but displays a very small, pixel sized white rectangle and no image is displayed.

I dont have this issue in Chrome or DuckDuckGo browsers. I have deleted cached images, files, disabled all extensions and restarted my phone to no avail. I haven't found any relevant settings to check in my phone settings or in FFx but am I missing something? JW

Firefox V144.0.1 for Android 16 on Galaxy S24

Can no longer attach RGB565 16-bit color BMP files. We have used these files for YEARS due to our *OLD* embedded system and *USED* to be able to POST them using Firefox on Confluence, but *NOW* someone changed it to give you and *ERROR*, attached is the *ERROR* and what the image *SHOULD* look like! Please add an EXTENSION (plug-in) to support these images again (or *AT LEAST* let me drag and drop them as I used to be able to do). I would add it using "Add Images" below but Firefox *WON'T LET ME*!!! I get the ERROR (that I never used to get until recently): The image "file:///C:blahblahblah.bmp" cannot be displayed because it contains errors. It does *NOT* contain errors, it is just an older format that is perfectly *FINE* and should be supported!!!

In Firefox 143.0.4 on macOS, dragging images from web pages to other applications (such as WeChat, adobe ps, Word, or Notes) no longer works, although dragging to the desktop still works. Safari is not affected.

Hello everyone.

When opening an image in a new tab, I get an image with a glitch in the background (attached). I've read forums and websites, thought about it, tried the suggested options with commands to disable certain settings, tried installing Firefox forks – nothing helps. The persistent stripes continue to haunt me. Then I installed a couple of other browsers to compare and verify. The same issue doesn't exist in them. In short, I've racked my brain trying to solve this problem.

I need your help and ideas on how to overcome this.

For many years, I've used a utility called DropZone in my menubar, which (among other things) allows documents to be automatically sorted into user-created locations (e.g., folders in the Finder).

Last night, suddenly, each time I drag a photo from Firefox to DropZone, a large window called "Action Console" opens, displaying a bunch of text. Here's a typical message that's displayed:

Ironically, although the last line says "Task completed," the task I was attempting to perform (moving a photo into a given folder) is in fact NOT comleted at all.

Further observations:

This behavior is not displayed in Safari. In Safari, images continue to be moved to the desired folder, as intended.

I googled "action console keeps opening in Firefox," and I performed 4 troubleshooting steps that google AI suggested (including launching Firefox into troubleshooting mode). Unfortunately, in troubleshooting mode, the behavior persists, which suggests that this has nothing to do with any add-ons.

I also created a new, test profile—but even in the test profile, the behavior persists.

So, I'm stumped. After years of using Firefox, this behavior has appeared out of nowhere—and I cannot figure out why, nor how to fix it.

Any further suggestions?

I discovered today that the installation of Firefox I have has modified some emoji, like the flag of Switzerland has been replaced with the one from Sark. See the screenshot looking at the same website with Firefox on the left, and Brave on the right:

There's a big mess in the flags' emojis apparently looking at a page showing all the countries. See second screenshot.

Since one of your updates, all of my photo files now have your logo on them and I can see any of the thousands of photos I have What the hell did you put in your update? JUST STOP SENDING UPDATES EVERY DAMN TIME I TURN AROUND.

All of a sudden all of my photos in all of my photo files have only your stupid logo on them... I can't see the files let alone any of the photos. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOUR DAMNED BROWSER AND HOW DID IT EFFECT ALL OF MY PHOTO FILES?
