Dialogue box says Firefox running but unable to find to close
Quite often when it is required to close Firefox on downloading ,a dialogue box pops and says that Firefox needs to be closed down. There is no icon to click in order to close and Task Manager does not indicate that Firefox is running. The option is to reboot the computer which I have to do to continue the download which I had started. The Firefox context menu does not offer a shutdown/close option. I tried to send a screenshot, but this page does not want to accept anything copied, pasted,or dragged and dropped. .

Can you please try doing the same in Safe mode Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
Did you first pause any current downloads?
Use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
Make sure to look under the Processes tab in the Windows Task Manager and not on the Applications tab.
You can't attach a screenshot to the first post that starts a thread, but you can do that in subsequent replies.
Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
