FAO BERMEA . Reply to your email - no reply sent on my version of Mozilla support??????

I was sent two replies to my personal email address stating I could (and I quote) "If this doesn't solve your problem, let bermea know by replying on the website.If this answer solves your problem, please Mark it as solved" I may be exceptionally stupid but despite searching on my account including the inbox and in the support seach box I can find no trace of a BERMEA nor more importantly my question which prompted it. In most forums a LINK is provided on emails so you can go straight to the question and respond?? I still have had NO solution to my request to change my USER name to something I CHOOSE as I could not put in anything but a made up one to test the system. I think you need to make it a bit clearer exactly HOW support questions are resolved and give clear navigation in peoples accounts to any messages or questions (such as this one) so they do not have the 40 minutes of wasted time I have just had to endure. Thank you

Ina, hit the Inbox link at the top of any forum page when you are logged in to get to your PM (Personal Messaging) account here at SUMO to contact Rachel.

Thanks I did reply but no further on in trying to untangle my user name which resulted from the registration disallowing my own usual user name .Because it was deemed in appropriate (I would guess the result at Mozilla end was in some way really offensive) I had to make one up to test it and that of course is now what i am stuck with . I did a virus and malware check and nothing came up. I then got a bugzilla request to confirm my email and when I did it told me the "token" had been removed????....ever onward ....

Mozilla is working on getting more of its sites under a single login, but for now, Bugzilla usernames and passwords are different from this support site's usernames and passwords.

If you would like to change the name displayed with your posts here, you can use this page to edit your "Display Name":

But if you want to change your login username, I think an administrator will need to be summoned.

Hi Rachel I am looking to change my user name on this site (Mozilla) and would request the user name be Ina? I would keep my password the same presumably. I did not understand however and bugzilla has not got back yet as to WHY I got messages indicating my chosen user name was "inappropriate" and to "bear in mind others use the site" . This clearly indicates whatever I typed was converted to something obscene or offensive. I checked for malware and my laptop is free of any viruses that might do this

Not sure if you understood my point actually. The issue was that when I contacted Bugzilla and an email was sent to ME to confirm who I was presumably. When I clicked on the link it told me the token has been removed. GOd knows what that means ???? I had been trying to report a bug on the log in screen for registering on Mozilla proper (see previous correspondence

For the record, this thread is actually a continuation of another one that Ina started, which is now locked.

Moses suggested filing a bug report on the user account creation issue.

I am still none the wiser as to why or what the invalid token message was meant to achieve? I believe there to be a bug on the registration page and attempted to report it as advised.No one has offered any explanation as to why I got this when aknowledging the email checking I was legit . Meanwhile my user name remains the imaginary one I created to bypass the accusation I was creating an inappropriate one although this may be in the process of being resolved. I appreciate all the good souls who have responded but cannot seem to get past a series of bugs that have extended these conversations needlessly?
