If you deleted them, and a recovery program cannot recover them, then yes they are lost. sorry about that.

That's alright. Thanks for your reply. Fortunately, I've got synched passwords, so at least I'll be able to "re-create" the profiles. Just didn't want to go on a wild goose chase looking for a needle in the proverbial haystack if it's not there  :D

Maybe you should backup your profile data locally.

Did you try to search for individual files like a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder?

Windows usually isn't really good in deleting files and only sets a delete flag in the MFT that the file space can be reused and leaves all other file and index data intact including the cluster chain that files occupy, so an undelete utility shouldn't have much problems to locate and undelete files if you do not wait too long.

Thanks for your suggestion - unfortunately, when the profiles got deleted, the files were deleted as well. I thought I had backups. What's interesting is that there's no trace in the recovery program, probably due to the way they were deleted (from the profile manager). Again, thankfully it's not a total loss as I have synced info. Thanks again for your help!  :)
