Underline glitch in Firefox or Sidebar Bookmark Selector 2.3
I have Firefox 12 with the Sidebar Bookmark Selector 2.3 app. They've been running together for atleast a few years now. Starting last week when I open my bookmarks I'll get underlines going through any that I run over with the mouse in an upwards fashion. If I go up 10 bookmarks, there will be ten underlines. If I go back down through them, they all erase. What the heck is going on?? Any google search with the words "Firefox" and "underlining" will only bring you to an answer of going into tools, options, colors, and unchecking the underlining box. This is not it. This is driving me mad! Any suggestions? I don't even know at this point if it has anything to do with either one of them at this point.

For god f'ing sakes......I fixed it, lol!! I wasn't even trying to fix it, I was just fixing my XP appearence settings, trying to get things a little bigger. And whaddya know, as soon as I changed one of the settings to make it a little bolder it stopped the underlining. Ridiculous!!! Thanks for the help man!

first update to Firefox 17.0.1, Update Firefox to the latest release. If you still have the problem, Reset Firefox Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

No, resetting dod not help. And I'm not sure why updating to 17 would either. It's not like 12 was all that long ago, these updates from Firefox for a new build seem to be coming every other week. You very well should be able to use an older one for longer than the six months or so since 12 was out.
Oh, and the hardware accelleration did not help either.
The main reason you need to update to 17 is because 12 is vulnerable to dozens of security holes, and has many known stability bugs that have been fixed in newer versions.
So, are you on 17.0.1 now? and resetting didn't help? can you give a screenshot? How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
Well I've now done all listed things and the underlines are still there. This really kinda sucks. I have no idea why they started to appear out of the blue. Thanks.
So this still happens with a new profile and no extensions installed?
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
No the underlines are not there when the add ons are disabled. But when they're disabled it shows it wihtout the Bookmark Sidebar add on, and what is there, I'm assuming, is the standard Firefox Bookmarks. Which ofcourse means it could be the add on I suppose. But nothing has been changed or downloaded - Firefox 12 and Sidebar Bookmarks had been working seamlessly together fine. That's what I'm not understanding.
Did you make sure that this is caused by the Sidebar Bookmark Selector extension and not by another extension or theme?
You can also try this extension:
