I moved to the new 13 version, but there is a white screen where the video is supposed to run. Youtube is also showing an error (not playing video).

I thought it was the new update to the flash player, but chrome and IE are working fine so it is a firefox thing.

Moderator Edit: The RealPlayer Record extension is known to cause this issue. Please read the Flash 11.3 doesn't load video KB article for details on disabling this extension.

Hi, I had this issue today and I fixed it with this solution : 1) Uninstall Adobe Flash Player plugin in Windows programs 2) Launch Firefox and go in www.youtube.com 3) Firefox suggests to install Flash Player's plugin (yellow bar at top). Install it.

Hi stpioc, are you running Windows 7 or Windows Vista? In that case, if you don't want to disable Real's downloader and you can't install an old version, try disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3 while it is being debugged. See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

As an update to this ongoing issue: Adobe Released an extremely critical security Fix for Flash 11.3. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4621126#4621126. The security exploit that this fixes is being actively exploited in the wild. This fix was not released for older versions of Flash (such as 10.3 or 11.2) but those versions may be vulnerable to this security issue.

So, our current recommendation is as follows: Update to Flash 11.3.300.271 (latest version ATM for Windows). If you have Realplayer, also update that. Test and see if you are still getting crashes or freezes. If you are not, it is likely that your issue was already fixed by Adobe.

If you continue to experience crashes, follow the directions at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 to disable protected mode. This will still leave you at greater security than using an older version of Flash.

We apologize for the inconvenience of this issue, and promise to update you all as information becomes available.

For those of you experiencing issues with Flash 11.3 still, Adobe has released an update to Flash (11.4) that hopefully will fix all/most of the issues. If you want to, try updating, and see if it resolves your problem. You can post your results here.

Flash Player 11.4 is now released. It includes fixes for many issues as well as a security update (see Adobe's Announcement and the release notes for details.)

You can use the links in this article to download and install Flash 11.4

For anyone who may have disabled Protected Mode in Flash 11.3 and is now updating to Flash 11.4, you should re-edit the mms.cfg file to remove the ProtectedMode=0 line (reference) to see if the problems are now resolved.

jlbyler, YOU ARE THE MAN!

I have been suffering with this video problem for months. I just gave up & was using my Chrome. a very boring experience. But you saved me from Chrome isolation. I can fully use my Firefox again.

Now Mozilla, get your ass in gear & fix this problem! I need my Firefox.
