Hi, I'm using the latest version. When I go through pages, I cannot be able to get back to the previous pages. The back button is not working. When I click the back button, the same page is displayed, it is not going back.....Any help would be highly appreciated!

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can right-click either Back or Forward button to open the tab history list.
You can hold down the left mouse button on either Back or Forward button until the tab history list opens.
The current active entry has a bullet in front of it.

If you hover an entry in the tab session history list with the mouse then you see an arrow at the left side pointing left (Back) or right (Forward) to show the direction.
You can left click an item to open it in the current tab or middle-click or Ctrl left-click an entry in that list to open that link in new tab, just like you can with other links.

Hi,

It helped, though I'm not sure if this because of the theme or addons I used. I did follow the two steps...changed my them to the default one, and started firefox in safe mode...

But, my job involves using all that extensions which I cannot use in safe mode?! Any other suggestion? Thanks

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
