The bottom of the window has this thick grey bar, almost a thick strip.. it has no response to mouse clicks, etc. and i can't get rid of it; it stays on even in full-screen mode. Please help me get rid of this..

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

..i guess it was to do with Google Toolbar - which kept working. Now the funny grey strip is gone, and so is gToolbar. ..oh well!
