Hi,

I've got hundreds of bookmarks that I finally want to classify. So I opened the Bookmarks->Show All to get to the Library. Now from there I thought that I could just move/drag the bookmarks ... I remember it was possible to do it on previous versions of firefox ? But surprise it doesn't seem to work. I can right click and cut/paste it. Or I can go in Organize and Move... it. For a few bookmarks it would do it, but for HUNDREDS of bookmark that's just not possible. It takes some much clicks and time that I'll probably still be on it next year...

It is usually more reliable and quicker to use Cut & Paste to move a lot of bookmarks than dragging them.

Are you dragging the selected bookmarks to a folder in the left pane in the Library?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I agree that for a group of bookmarks it's quicker by cut & paste, but as my bookmarks are randomly un-organized usually it's more like one bookmark for this folder, the next bookmark for that folder etc...

BUT

to answer your other question I opened the library... and... magic... the drag and drop is working again ?!?! So I guess you can close this subject... Either there was a random bug last time I tried OR one of my add-on was causing this problem. Since last time I disabled FLASHBLOCK. I'll enable it again and try again to see if this add-on was the problem.

Thanks !
