Install the "Stylish" extension then you can install styles to provide real scroll bars.

Thanks for that. I have installed the add ons and I can now see the scroll bar. But when I scroll on my touch pad all I get is the scroll icon and nothing moves. I can scroll by tapping on the arrows and double tapping on the bar but not with the scroll on my touch pad. The sroll on touch pad works fine outside the bookmnark box on all websites and on other programmes so it cant be that.

Any ideas?

Also is it possible to get the bookmark box to the full length of the screen?

I would appreciate any advice.

I don't have the those problems with the touch-pad because I can't stand it if typing - glad I have a real button to turn it on and off, almost always use a real plastic & electronics mouse.

Don't know how adept you are with the touch pad, but with the mouse these are my techniques.

1. Cursor above or below thumb, click moves one page
2. Place cursor where you want the thumb to stop at then click (very fast)
3. Within sorted bookmark menu, insure at some point that there are at least two items that begin with each letter of the alphabet, then you can type in the first letter, actually usually the next letter if going down, the previous letter if going up, but you probably hit a folder and then go down again.

On a web page first two items above then

Page up, Page Down, Home, End, SpaceBar (Shift+SpaceBar to PageUP)

Just when I thought 6.0 had finally solved problems with this site destroying/losing what I was typing is back to the same old type everything several times, or use notepad outside of Firefox.

Thanks... Scroll works fine with all aspects of touch pad except when in bookmarks... I get the sroll icon (the little bar with with up/down arrows underneath the pointer) which implies that the computer understands what I am trying to do but wont... if you know what I mean!!??

Is there some setting I haven't ticked? or is this just how it is with firefox 5?
