go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later.

can you tell me exactly what the error message was ???
Server not found ...... only happens with that site so I think ADDS has done something to cause this.
Firefox cannot load certain websites but other programs can https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20cannot%20load%20websites%20but%20other%20programs%20can#w_firefox-cannot-load-certain-websites
I have same symptoms as Desbiens. Firefox can sometimes load the page if I hit "try again", it may take 3-4 retries, or it might load first click. Error message is: "server not found, Firefox can't find the server at www.aviationweather.gov; check address, network, or firewall ... Try Again? (button)". Also shows "looking for ..." on bottom bar. It also happens to me on NOAA (www.ssd.noaa.gov) sites for Goes satellite images & loops, so it's probably a new govt. security protocol spooning out access slowly.
