WHen I would open firefox it would show all my websites I was using for the past few days i.e. facebook, yahoo, banking etc. Now I have to physically type it in the url. Is that still available?

That is not a standard feature in Firefox, it was added by an extension. Take a look at your installed extensions and see what is disabled due to "incompatibility"
