Browser appears to be hijacked to social reward survey.com when I try to access facebook. Only occurs on Firefox and not IE. How can I fix this - no viruses or malware detected after running multiple scan.

Hey, I remember that. A website gave me news that there was a survey on Facebook.com due to a virus(not PC virus, online virus) and completing the survey gives $1 USD to the one who has made the survey. This is an incident of December 2010. The virus could only hijack Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Not completing the survey would cause your account to be blocked by the hacker.
Install, update, and run these programs in this order. They are listed in order of efficacy.
(Not all programs detect the same Malware, so you may need to run them all to solve your problem.)
These programs are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have.
Note: If your Malware infection is bad enough and you are mis-directed to URL's other than what is posted, you may have to use a different PC to download these programs and use a USB stick to transfer them to the afflicted PC.

Socialrewardsurvey is a revenue generating site that pays web hosts a portion of traffic they send into the site. Before you go scanning your entire computer for malware or viruses, be sure you typed the domain name you intended correctly. There are many domain names out there, some of them are spelled alike. some people register near-spellings of domain names and generate revenue by driving traffic to sites like socialrewardsurvey. Intentional "Typo-Squatting" can be remedied by the popular domain name holder registering a complaint with the ICANN, or whatever they are calling the regulation body now.
If in fact you DO have a virus or malware redirecting traffic to these kinds of sites, report it to the owner of socialrewardsurvey. (Do a whois and look it up) Alternatively, you can put an entry in your HOSTS file (assuming you are on a windows computer) in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. that looks like: 18.104.22.168 Sociarewardsurvey.com This will send you to Facebook instead. Hope that helps.
