Why can't I see the Bookmarks as an HTML page like I could in Firefox 2 and use that as my home page?
I was really getting used to doing it that way.

You can set a hidden preference to automatically export bookmarks to bookmarks.html when Firefox closes.
- Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
- Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
- In the filter box type autoexport
- Double-click on the preference browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML to change its value to true
You can then use bookmarks.html in the profile folder as your home page. It will not contain updates made during the current session.
Another option is to use the Bookmarks Tab add-on. You can then set the home page to chrome://bookmarks/content/bookmarks.html
The about:config tip is exactly what I wanted; except it puts the Bookmarks Toolbar listings at the bottom of the page instead of the top.
But, thanks!
