cannot find back and forth arrows
I used to have arrows to move back and forward.For unknown reasons,they disappeared.

Is your entire menu bar missing? Take a look at Restore the Menu bar in Firefox.
If it's just the back and forward buttons, right click on your menu bar and select customize. You should be able to add the buttons back.
If the problem persists, then there might be an issue with your menu preferences. Try starting up Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and resetting toolbars.
