Thunderbird has stopped downloading mail from outlook account.
Thunderbird has stopped downloading mail from the outlook account for my prime account, but my secondary account also outlook is OK. It kept asking to sign into my account then directed me to a web page to sign in for outlook, but it would only let sign into the 2nd account. I have tried uninstalling Thunderbird and re-installed it but still have the same problem.

Hi Wayne,
Whatever it was has gone away, when I downloaded Thunderbird again it connected with both accounts straight away.
Lets hope it lasts, I can now delete the Outlook App.

Please post all the screen shots related to your failing sign in.
Hi Wayne It has now got worse, the reinstalled version of Thunderbird does not access any outlook account, it just buffers at the IMAP login stage.(photo). Windows will not allow me to take a screenshot of Thunderbird either so I took a photo. There were several spurious passwords for both accounts saved on the PC, which I have deleted. I have no doubt it's something to do with Win11 and or Norton 360.
I can access email on Firefox using outlook which I detest !

What happens if you start Windows in Safe Mode?
Hi, Exactly the same, can not find the incoming server.
Though it was not showing an internet connection, WiFi or Ethernet, not sure if that's normal in safe mode..
I have just uninstalled Thunderbird again.
