Macbook Air M5 - with checked reopen previous windows and tabs - not working at all
I just found out that my tabs are not stored when reopening Firefox. Only pinned ones are still available. In settings of course I have `Remember history` and `Open previous windows and tabs`... I'm new to Apple, but this behaviour is absurd. Someone said I woudl have to use Command+Q as a solution? That can't be true. Is there some strange way of installation of Firefox I did that only not pinned tabs are not remembered? I have all things up to date. I'm not a noob in computer science so I can verify something more but this out of the box bad behaviour is shock to me. At the same time on Windows I have 200+ opened tabs and no problem to restart Firefox and keep have them.

Windows users are generally used to closing apps with the "x" red button; that's not how macOS works so you're only closing out a window and leaving the app running empty.
It's just ultra bad that it's missed to describe anywhere in FF or in MacOS in general...
Yeah I think there's an enhancement bug open to that tune, whether to not actually "remember" the ultimate existing window if quitting without any open — but there's this privacy issue of the demography that's using that Mac windowing behavior deliberately to really close off content they don't want reopening that way, as it's been around for decades on the system.
Your session store should still remember you last closed window either way, so even after restart if your last one before quitting was closed separately using the platform "traffic light" buttons, the CMD+SHIFT+N for "recently closed window" should still keep the data for you to restore it even post–facto.
