How do I add a widget on a MacBook Air?

For some reason, when I'm looking at other peoples Firefox, they have a manage widget option, and for mines, I do not have. The only solution I found so far for this is if you click on the pencil icon (bottom right) --> Manage more settings --> Firefox labs --> the choose the widgets you want. I will try to see if I can find another solution.
