How to correct Thunderbird date format.
I have tried all the recommended methods to alter the display of dates in my Thunderbird inbox but cannot alter the format as short. It is very inconvenient not to see the correct Day number.

There is a lot of info available on date formats (probably too much.). I found three sites:
