Download progress indicator includes previously completed downloads

Hi there, I'm wondering if I am experiencing intended behavior or if I've stumbled upon a bug. I am sometimes downloading files in a staggered manner (i.e., waiting for files to finish downloading before I start the next file downloads). However, any file after the first in that session shows an inaccurate progress indicator in the toolbar which includes progress of the already completed downloads. For example, if I download two files completely, then start the download of two new files and both sit at 0%, the progress bar for the downloads actually shows 50% completed (2 files at 100%, 2 files at 0% -> Average of 4 files at 50%). I can't imagine this is intended behavior, for I imagine users would like to know how their current downloads are progressing only. This behavior is only fixed when I clear previous downloads, which resets the list to only active downloads, or when I restart the browser and start a new session. Is there a setting where I can make the indicator report only active downloads? Any insight is welcomed, thank you.
