I would like access to the free VPN, but I don't see the option to add it in settings or recall getting a pop-up
Hello,
My Firefox browser just updated to version 150. I was notified that Mozilla now has a free browser-based VPN. I have followed the instructions listed, but I don't see the VPN option available. Also, I don't recall seeing a pop-up request from Firefox about getting access to this VPN.
Is it possible for me to get access with my account?

Currently it's gradually rolling out to Firefox desktop users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and France, so it may not be available for you yet.
Then why are they advertising it on the home screen after the update as available ?

Well that's crazy, I know.
PS. Don't you have anything active in about:policies? Please read Use built-in VPN in Firefox.
I checked it says, The Enterprise Policies service is inactive. Not an enterprise user. Thanks
Hi,
As TyDraniu mentioned, the VPN is not available to all users yet. You can find the list of the countries included in the rollout in the note at the top of this article (+ Canada to TyDraniu's list)
I am in the USA and it says it is included, why would they put in on an giant banner after the update if I cannot get it?
There are still some user groups in the US (and other countries participating in the rollout) that don't have the VPN available. If you want to dig into it, please go to about:studies and share a list of active (VPN-related) studies you see there.
Unfortunately, we don't have influence on the contents of the What's New pages.
