mje6, one method for moving a profile is the following. # Using Firefox Create a brand new profile with a custom path set to the desired location. Caution: if you have already moved your original profile folder to this new location then first move it somewhere else to avoid anything being overwritten by the create new profile process. # Make sure that the new profile is set as the default profile. # Fully exit Firefox. # Delete the contents of the newly created profile folder on the hard drive. # Copy the contents of the original profile folder into the newly created (and now empty) profile folder. Firefox should now start with the original profile data but running from the new location. Note: you may need to disable then re-enable, or possibly even re-install, some of your add-ons if you find that they are not working correctly from the new location.
