Firefox is my default browser. The problems have arisen from around December 27th 2025. Till then everything worked smoothly. The first problem is that if I go to google.com then search for say , “Wordle”. The search output is displayed on the screen but when I click on the search result, it does not go anywhere- nothing happens. The second issues, is till the problem cropped up, I had set google.com as the custom url for home page and windows through settings, home, and had used an extension, “ New tab override” available from Firefox, to set every new tab to open as google.com The url for the webpage works but the new tab override does not. I have tried removing the extension but problem 1 persists. The third issue is that I have subscriptions to newspapers and had set up the logins. These newspapers are in my bookmarks. When I click on the bookmark the main page opens but the login area is missing. It tells me to get a subscription. e.g., among others, NY times, Uniqlo gb, the Turnitin of my university will not load although I am logged in to the university. I have cleaned all cookies, removed all extension including Ad blockers to fix the problem, tried resetting all to default setting but nothing works. Would appreciate any help you can provide.
