I believe I had all this synced in Firefox Settings before I made the upgrade. Like all you fellow former users of Windows 10, I had to upgrade to Windows 11; and did so two days ago. Now, I found that I do not have under History any of the former sites I not only visited but also had tabs open. What can I do, if anything, to recover them? Under the Add-ons Manager, if this helps, I already had the app Tab Session Manager, but don't know how to use it. Thanks to all in advance who may have made this same upgrade. Many out there are still on Windows 10.

While awaiting response here, I inadvertently created a new profile. Now, there might have been a program update; but my windows under this new profile have a blue quality. Anyway, I found saved profiled and copied them to a new folder on my Desktop so they would be easy to find. Now, I need a way to upload one of them. Concurrently, there is another problem. When I click on About Firefox, the box says "Firefox is being updated in another instance." Do these problems affect one another?

This post is through my Firefox app from the Microsoft store. Having saved so many Profile files, I am going for a new installation. My current one seems too buggered up. Now that I have a new installation, I am going to have to find out how to get it to work with older Profiles I saved. I don't like the look of this updated Firefox. In fact, I don't like this new version at all. I just copied the contents of an older Profile into the current folder after emptying its contents. When Firefox opens, I don't know where it gets its Profile information from. It still looks the same. I should have mentioned that the technician who did the upgrade had to wipe out everything before installing Windows 11 because Windows 10 did not leave enough room.

I don't know why I even bother with Firefox. Though I have it on both Windows and Mac Monterey, maybe Edge is slightly better in protecting against losses like this. However, Safari on Mac seems to have better safeguards against loss of tabs and total history. Maybe I should get rid of this, although I don't want to deny myself options in downloading media files.

During the prior month I went through the startup menu on this new Windows 11 installation. I prepared for a new in-place installation of Windows 11; but didn't do it. Instead I used one of the repair options. With two weeks in the previous month this computer underwent a repair option. As I remember, it used files from the Cloud. Anyway, I decided to do this because of sizable updates that would not install. Now that I completed the repair, the system seems to work better; and I am all caught up with updating. I am not completely satisfied with measures available to recover tabs; but I found more of them after this repair operation.
